At Wits End with Diaper Rash

My son has had a bad diaper rash off and on for over a month to the point that his but gets all red and almost raw. At times you would think we were killing him to change his diaper. We are hoping we can get him potty trained but he shows no interest even though we tell him his bottom will stop hurting. He continues to tell us after the fact. 6 Month Old Cries and Screams While Pooping!

My baby has been eating solid foods for about 3 weeks or so, and the last 4-5 days having more solid BMs. Just the last three days he's been crying/screaming out of nowhere and I discovered it's happening while he's pooping. I know it's probably hard to get used to a more solid BM for babies, just wondering if this is normal? His poops seem completely normal, (not super hard or anything) and after he's done and changed, he's fine.

Introducing Solids to Daughter, Digestion Is Tough

I have a 5 month old daughter just starting out on some solids. We prepare fresh fruits, veggies, oatmeal and rice. She also enjoys cherrios and graham crackers. Obviously her digestion has changed, but should she labor with bowel movements? I think this may be the reason she was up crying every two hours tonight. Anyone have the same experience and any suggestions? I will discuss with our family doctor next visit.

Need Help Fast...2 Yr Old Holding in Poop

She has issues with constpation and is on miralax everyday. Long story short we stoped giving it for a couple days and now she is backed up and hasn't pooped for days. She says she has to go but refuses to sit on the potty and will stand and clinch her butt cheeks. So I offered to put a pamper on her and she still clinched. Infant with Constipation

Hello. My little boy is almost 11 months and has always been irregular when it came to his dirty diapers, but now it down right hurts (both him and me). He has recently been straining so hard (to produce not so much) that he cries and cries. He even got a little hemmeroid. We are giving him pear and apple juices and feeding him prunes, and have even given a few suppositories but we hope his little body will soon regulate everything. Any Moms Use Miralax?

Hi Everyone! I am just curious if any of you have used Miralax for your little ones. I have a seriously constipated 3 yr. old who was actually impacted the other day. Dr. prescribed Miralax (polyethylene glycol) for him to use daily. I have no objection to using it, we have tons of patients on it in our Internal Med office, but they are adults. How Much Miralax Should I Give My 6 Yo?

I have a stopped up little girl who is just recently out of pull-ups for BM's and is scared, therefore, resistant to "let it go" in the potty. Her Ped suggested Miralax, but I don't know how much to give her. I just bought a bottle at CVS and it says 17 grams for 16-adult. Anyone know how much to give?? Thanks everyone!
