BABYBJÖRN Travel Crib Light

We have a Phil & Ted's travel crib, which I think is very much like the Baby Bjorn crib. We really like it, mainly b/c it's super light - much much lighter and packs smaller than a Pack & Play. It's also good for camping (though we have only used it inside), as it has a cover and posts to attach to the ground. The only downside is that it takes longer to attach and take apart, but once you do it once or twice, it becomes easy. It doesn't come with "extras", like a bassinet feature or changing table like many Pack & Plays, but those just add to the weight. While a bassinet feature would be nice since you don't have to bend all the way down to put the baby in the crib, it hasn't been a big deal; also, we just changed our baby on a towel, so you don't need the changing table.

Congratulations on your first child! We have traveled a lot with our little boy and have found the Phil & Ted T2 Travel Cot to be a great help. It takes up very little space traveling and little space when set up. It takes a little practice in the set up but once you've done it once or twice it's no problem at all. The only thing I didn't like was I couldn't find any sheets which fit it perfectly. I always ended up folding over sheets which were a little too big. Otherwise, we loved it.

Have the Graco TraveLite crib which is about 30% less in size AND weight of a regular sized pack-n-play crib. Love it! It comes with a thin carrying case but that thing is as thin as t-shirt material so we got a cheapie $20 duffel bag to hold it while traveling by air. Nary a problem and didn't have to worry about those hotel Russian orphanage cribs that we've encountered before!

just got back from 12 days of travel and everywhere we went either the hotel had a great crib or a neighbor or a local grandparent had one.....dont travel with too much, bring less than you think you need in the clothing department especially....you can always buy what you need on the fly. have fun remember to have a "new" toy for the plane ride or car ride it makes things very exciting for the kiddo!

This crib has everything you need except for one draw back....you have to check it in with your luggage. We have flown with the Travel Crib three times and all three times we could not carry on the crib as luggage. We had to check it in because it did not meet the specifications. Although it's light, and was great while we were waiting for the flights, we had to check it right before we boarded.

Other then that draw back, it's been fantastic. We have had it for about 6 months and it looks like we just opened it for the first time. There is very little wear and tear. Very highly recommended.

My late husband,was was in the Airfoce. So,after our daughter was born and we have to fly. A very good friend,gave us a wonderful gift to fly with. It's called a baby carrier.it's head sit up when the baby is awake and lazes back down when the baby is sleeping. Alot of my friends say,they are great and very safe. The friend,who give us the wonderful gift. Was a chaplin on the base and he had 14 kids and 21 grandkids.
