Allergic to Dairy

My one year old is allergic to dairy. This was easy when he was on formula and baby food because I didn't really worry about. Now I am feeding him Rice Milk but I am having a hard time with snacks and table food. Most of what I make for my family has milk or cheese or some other dairy product in it. He will not eat any fruit. So that is out as far as snacks go. Also, the doctor said to go with the rice milk but why not soy? Does soy milk contain dairy or what is the issue with that? Hello Moms: I am requesting any advice about my 2 year old son. He stop nursing about 2 weeks before his second birthday (that was a struggle) now I am struggling weaning him off the Gerber Oatmeal for babies. Today was the first day I refused to make it. Toddler with Milk and Egg Allergy

We just found out that my 2 year old son has a milk and egg allergy. He was diagnosed with EE (Eosinophilic Esophagitis)and GERD. The EE is caused usually from a food allergy- the white blood cells in the esophagas over produce from the food allergy and cause inflamtion in the esophagas. I have never heard of this disease. I am looking for ideas from mom's that have children with same food allergy for suggestions on good snacks, drinks and foods. And where and what do you get when you go out to eat! Thanks

A few months ago we tried to introduce cereal, the first couple times were fine.
