Recommendations on Sleep Sacks/ Wearable Blankets?

My house is 200 years old, and though we have plastic on the Windows and the heat going at 74 degrees, last night it dropped to 62 degrees in my little guys room. I have micro fleece sleepers, and a number of micro fleece sleep sacks... but I need something warmer for him. We are getting a space heater ( nursery friendly) but I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on a thicker sleep sack? Something that is blanket thickness...? We've really had a hard time finding anything that isn't micro fleece or light weight.

How to Fatten up a Baby

I know all babies come in different shapes and sizes. But, I'd feel better if my daughter was within a healthier weight range for her age. My daughter is seven months old and weighs 16 lbs. She's EXTREMELY active, crawling, standing... but just very little. It's getting colder now, and I'd love for her pants to stay up. We can't even keep the 3-6 months to stay up! Any Moms have any suggestions for beefing up a baby belly? Specifically what foods to try?

Putting Toddler to Sleep Question to 'No Cry' Moms

Hi Moms, This question goes out to 'No Cry' Moms. I would like to know how/when you transitioned your toddler to going to sleep on their own. The easiest way for me to get my little one down to sleep is by holding him in my arms and walking him back and forth in a room (it takes me about 3 minutes to get him to sleep). In situations when I am too tired to walk him, I lay down and in his own time he lays down next to me and falls asleep (this can take a 1/2 hour or so). My husband thinks my little guy is too old for me to walk him to...

22 Month Old Won't Keep Clothes On!

Please help! My 22 month old DD strips down bare naked every time I put her in her crib (nap time as well as bedtime) and then goes to the bathroom all over her bedding. I have tried putting on onesies, sewing the onesie shut and putting it on like a leotard, putting the diaper on backwards. The only thing that works is putting her footie pajamas on backwards so they zip in the back. The only problem with that is that the weather is getting warmer and soon it will be too warm for footie pajamas. I need help on what I can do. All...

Do You Put Your Kids in Comfy Clothes for Nap Time?

My mom called and told me I forgot to put 'nap clothes' in my son's bag this past weekend when my parents were watching the kids, that she had to put him in his pajama's... I was laughing, because all 3 of my kids always just napped in whatever they happened to be wearing at the time, whether it was a sun dress or jeans. But I guess I could see where she was coming from... I'm not going to change what I'm doing since it works, I was just curious if anyone else put their kiddos in comfy clothes just for nap time?

Keeping 1 Y/o Warm at Night

I put my daughter in a long-sleeved onsie and a fleece footie at night, but unless she keeps her blanket on, she's frozen in the morning. The fleece (Carters) is thin, so I've been looking for something thicker and warmer. Any suggestions?? Thanks! ETA: I know about the sleep sacs, but she's running all over and very active. I can't imagine she'll be content in a sack even when she's sleeping. I can do the clothes under the fleece though! For those of you who do that, do you get a size bigger fleece to fit in the socks?

10 Week Old Won't Sleep More than 3 Hours at Night

The title says it all. Between pregnancy and this baby, it's been since January that I've not slept for any stretch of time! Here's a general schedule: -- 7PM falls asleep on his own; wakes at 7:30 to eat, then we swaddle him, give him a pacifier (which he loses after 5 minutes); then we let him cry 5-10 minutes and he goes to sleep by 8:00 -- wakes up at 10 or 11, I feed to "top him off", back to sleep, swaddled with paci -- wakes at 2:00, from 2-3 is a battle of putting paci in and he sleeps for 5 minutes, then drops it and screams. ...

Sleepers with Feet, Size 18 Months

I am wondering which sleepers have worked best for you. I prefer the ones with feet in them, and we do like Carters. The light weight summer ones from The Children's Place have too much pull on them, meaning, my son can crawl right out of them..... What has worked for you, and at what age did you introduce a blanket into their crib? Thanks!!

Appropriate Sleep Wear

This seems like such a silly question! I do not have top sheets or blankets in my 9 month old's crib yet. Now that it is getting warmer, I am wondering what the best PJs are for her? I have been putting her in footy PJs, because I am worried that she will get cold since the air conditioner has been running. But I also do not want her to be too warm. I am just wondering what other moms who do not use blankets sleep their little ones in in the summer time. Thanks

Montessori/Attachment Parenting Sleeping Routines for My 9-Month-old Baby Boy

Hi Ladies, My baby boy is 9 months old, and we’re having some sleep issues. Our situation is a little bit convoluted, so let me explain what’s going on. First off, I’m a trained Montessori teacher, and we’re raising our son “Montessori style,” as I call it. This means that he doesn’t sleep in a crib. We just have a mattress on the floor for him. He’s very mobile, so the whole room is baby proofed to ensure his safety as he explores the room. Our style of parenting has been on the Attachment Parenting end of the...

What Are Other People's Self-soothing Techniques for Helping Baby to Bed?

Our 6 1/2 month old son cries hard every night when it's time to go to bed. We try to stick to the same routine, but I admit, not religiously. I nurse him, then around 7pm or so we feed him some fruit or veggies. I usually read a book to him. We put him in his pajamas. We hang out for a little bit with low lighting, playing gently or cuddling. When it's time to go to bed, my husband swaddles him in his blankie and he screams and usually takes 20 min. to an hour to put him down. (I don't think it's the swaddling because when I try to get him...
