Exercise and Motherhood

I have one daughter, almost three and a half years old. Before she was born, I used to workout I wouldn't say a lot but definitely a lot more than now. What I miss the most is the group fitness classes at the gym. Now I'm working full-time so I try to go to the gym here and there after work. On nice days, I find it difficult to get myself to the gym to use the treadmill and stair master. My gym is literally in walking distance of my house! Needing Good Beginner's Exercise Dvd

Hello ladies, I, like every Mom in the world, have very little time to spend on myself, but I'm trying to work on a healthier lifestyle for myself and my family. I have never been the best at having a routine exercise program, but I'm am now serious to commit to one. I'd like to get a beginners exercise dvd, but there are thousands to chose from... does anyone have one they could recommend (or let me know to stay away from), so that I'm not wasting my time and money. I can only commit to 15-20 minutes in the morning. Thanks!

In my twenties, before motherhood I made and had time for exercise. I used to enjoy going to aerobics classes at the gym. Since becoming a mom four years ago, I have become very inconsistent. I rarely go to an aerobics class because my daughter has cried in the past when I put her in the kids' club. I rely on my husband to stay with her on weekends. Weekdays I work full-time and my only window of time to exercise (with any motivation) is from around 3:15-4:30 the latest. There are no aerobics classes during that time. I've gotten into a rut...

Need Advice About Losing Weight

I have been doing the Richard Simmons Food mover and have lost 11 pounds, great! However, I've been doing it since December 1. I eat about 1200 calories a day usually alittle less I don't have a daily exercise routine, but I clean houses for 6 hours everyday. Someone told me that the richard Simmons plan is outdated & maybe that's why it's not working well. I have to agree that it's outdated alot of foods aren't in the books. It's frustrating! I need to lose like 50 lbs more. I am open to any & all suggestions. TIA
