Even better option - take her to the park and make her run around playing, buy a trampoline (it's amazing how much exercise they get on this), put in a basketball hoop..something like that. we all need to stay in shape naturally and if kids are given the chance, they'll exercise the weight right off. take your family on hikes (eaton canyon, by jpl, there's a ton of places). make it a weekend ritual to do something fun like that and she'll drop the weight. gyms are intimidating for kids and it makes them feel FAT! trust me on this, i was and am overweight and going to the gym feels like a dr. appointment. playing is much better!! good luck!
