When Do You Begin to Introduce the Concept of Potty Training?

My son is 16 months old, and I just bought him a potty. I usually bring him in the bathroom with me during the day because there's no where else to contain him while I pee! Anyway, he mimicks me and squats, he won't poop in a diaper that's already wet, he won't sit once he's pooped in a diaper, and he brings me a new diaper if he's wet. Best Book for Potty Training?

Hi Moms, I am about to start potty training my 2 1/2 year old DD and need advice on how to do it. Is there a really good book out there that anyone could recommend? I'm just confused where to start - like do I put her in pull ups or make a big deal of buying some fun underwear? She has been using her potty at night at home on a sort of regular basis, but we just let her run around naked - so how do I start to show her how to do it with clothes on? I'm planning to start potty-training my 2 1/2 year old daughter this weekend. She has all the readiness signs.
