Extended Breastfeeding Anyone?

Just out of curiosity... how many mamapedia mama's have nursed their little one past the age of one and what are some of the responses you have gotten? (Not that it would change my mind about happily breastfeeding my beautiful, healthy 13 month old, 25 pound, 31 inch tall little boy with no intentions of weaning anytime soon:-) Just feels like I'm an alien sometimes with the looks and comments people often give! (Especially now that he asks for "Booby":-)

Karo Syrup in Every Bottle???

My oldest step-daughter is a 20 year old single mother. She just recently moved back in with us. The baby just turned 3 months old. The first time she left us alone with the baby she showed me how to make her bottle. She told me to put Karo syrup in it. I asked why and she told me it helps her with her bowel movements. I never had a child of my own, but I have babysat children & babies and I have lots of friends with kids of their own. It stills seems odd to me to put Karo in every single bottle. Trouble Disciplining a 17 Year Old

My daughter has always been an exceptionally bright girl. She was in high performance classes at school and would panic if she was getting anything lower than an 'A'. During the winter she was absent from school a lot with migraines (she has always had migraines) and of course I can't prove she has one (no temp etc). Help with Breastfeeding

My daughter is 3.5 wks old I am breastfeeding her on demand usually every 1-2 hours. How often should I pump? I do not pump in the middle of the night. Usually 3x a day. Im not sure if I should do it after each feeding? Sometimes if I do that there will not be hardly amy milk. Also I give her a bottle of formula occasionally. She seems very gassy and we have been using anti gas drops which help.Also when will I produce more milk. Im on week 4. Help

Help Controlling 16 Year Old Daughter's Attitude

My daughter is a sweetheart....at times...lately she is so snappy with so much attitude. Sometimes it's not what she says but of how she says it. Weaning My 14 Month Old

I want to start weaning my son off breastfeeding, he is 14 months old and very strong willed. He is a big boy weighing 32 lbs and 32 inches (he was 11.1 at birth) eating all table food and likes whole milk from the sip cup. He sleeps with my husband and i at night he breastfeeds about 4 times a day usually 3 of those times so he can go to sleep. He has never been in a crib or playpen.
