I think its pretty.....I have a daughter named Raevyn Sierra. The twist you give on names aways makes your child uique. however you spell it:)
Good luck!!!!!
I think its very pretty. A friend of mine has a daughter named Sarita (Suh-Ree-tuh) which is close to that and I've always thought it was pretty. My husband and I had chosen Sienna for a girl, which is close as well, but we're having a boy.
I think it's pretty! The pronunciation might be something different, that she may have to correct others on, but that's something she'll certainly get used to doing. I have to spell my name all the time, and it annoyed me as a child, but I appreciate knowing people will remember, because it IS different. I have two sons and they will have to do the same thing...haha....It's all good...if it's a name you love, it's wonderful!
I think the name is beautiful. Just keep in mind ANY name can be made fun of in school the trick is to keep it to a minimum. Even my daughter comes home upset because kids change her name from Autumn to Au-dumb!! it's impossible to keep them from being teased so, just make sure the name is something that you love and means something to you. That way when she comes home upset about the teasing you have a wonderful story to tell her about where her name came from.
I have to say that I am with Karen on this one. Noone knew my daughters name until after she was born. But, it is what it is.
What I am wondering is, how do you pronounce Saria? Is it Saria, like rhyming with Maria? Or, is it Saria, like a cross between Sarah with an e-a at the end, Sar-ee-aa, with the emphasis on the e sound? This might be something to consider. Will she have to always correct people for the rest of her life on the pronunciation?
All in all, its about what you feel in your heart.
Margaret :)
For what its worth, when you go through life with a name like Margaret, everything else always sounds good!!! :)
I saw it and pronounced it sah ri a - emphasis on the sah - like Ah! :-)
Very pretty!
When I was pregnant, I discovered a great website. It generates first and middle names to go with your last name. http://www.babynamegenie.com/
Good luck and congratulations!
It is beautiful and fitting. She will SO be daddy's princess. All little girls are. Sarah is much too over used. This is a beautiful form. IMO.
I like the name, but in the end the only opinion that matters is yours and your husband. With our first child we made the mistake of letting everyone know what name we had chosen. Everyone had an opinion and my husband and I really didn't care to hear it. With our last child we kept the name a secret until he was born. Some people still let us know that they didn't like the name, but we were basking in the glow of our newborn son and didn't really care!!
Good Luck!
