Fixing a Strap on a Leather Boot

I have one year old pair of leather knee high boots that I love!! One of the buckles/straps has come loose and I'm unsure of the best way to fix it. I asked my seamstress mother in law if she could sew it (I'm unfamiliar with sewing leather) and she said to just use leather glue. I found some Krazy Wood and Leather glue on Amazon. Anyone used this or another product and liked it?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Take it to a shoe repair place.
They have the right sewing equipment for leather.
I wouldn't glue it.

Might be best to take the boot to a shoe repair shop. That's what we always do. My husband is anal about re-soling his boots if the leather on top is still worthy.

I wouldn't glue it. It'll just make it harder for the shoe repair guy to fix it.
