Ugh! I am still unpacking all my stuff and I just found a small rip in my leather couch, is anything that can be done to fix it, or at least to stop it from getting worst?
The color is a very light brown, kind of beige.

What can I do next?

depending on where the tear is, DUCT TAPE! (They do sell lots of different colors.) Other than that, I'd give the couch some stitches. Perhaps a seamstress has the right needles and if the cushion is removeable, you could take it to her.

There are people who repair leather. Just google your local area. It will probably cost you around 100 to 200 to have the repair done but well worth it. When they are finished you can't tell it was ever ripped. The other thing is they will guarantee it stays that way.

I have seen some at home repair kits at places like Home Depot. You might try that if it is not too bad.

Other than that, there are leather repair services. Of course more costly but worth it in the long run to save the couch.

look in the yellow pages and see if you can come up with an upholstery repair person that specializes in leather. If you can't come up with one, call a furniture store in your area, that sells your type of furniture, and inquire with them. Usually they have repair people on hand for their customers.

Put a piece of leather under the rip and glue it in place.

If this is an expensive real leather couch I'd go with a professional.
