Birthday Party for My Turning 1 Yr Old and Turning 10 Yr Old Sons.

Both my boys are celebrating birthdays in April. The baby is turning one on the 6th and my older one is turning 10 on the 10th. How in the world will I be able to celebrate them both??? Should I give them seperate parties or what? The baby likes Elmo. I think my older one wouldn't mind a sleepover? Both are milestones and I want them to be very memorable. Oh did I mention that they have different fathers which means 2 different crowds.??? OMG how??? The weather can also be very tricky cold, warm rainy should it be indoors, outdoors???

How to Wean 16-Month-old

I have been happily breastfeeding my little girl for 16 months now, thinking we would wean when she was ready. However, now I am starting to think that time may be a long way away. I am ready, but she is not. We cut down to nursing only morning and night at about 9 months old. But the last 3 months or so, she seems to want to nurse more and more! It's mostly for comfort it seems...during the day, if she's bored, fussy, if I cuddle her in my lap etc... and she is very demanding, grabbing my shirt in public, crying. I try to distract her...

21 Month Old Son Still Doesn't Speak

I have a 21 month old son and a 5 yr old daughter. I've been told that because my daughter is older that my son won't speak for a while because "sister talks for him". I've also been told that boys speak later than girls. My daughter was speaking clearly at 18 months. My son has a few words that he uses for just about everything, but he doesnt hardly ever use them at all. Has anyone else ever gone through this? I want to be sure that he doesn't have any developmental issues. Thanks.

Elmo Obsessed Baby!

My 17 month old is absolutely obsessed with Elmo and wakes up in the morning calling HIS name and not mine! ; ) We currently have Elmo in Grouchland which she loves to watch daily, multiple times if I let her (I am sure many of you can relate!)...are there any other movies with Elmo out there other than the Elmo's World series? Help for a Teething Baby

Hi moms. My almost 8 month old daughter has started cutting teeth just a few days ago. she so far has been dealing with it alright (i know it's a long road) but when I got home last night she had a fever. I know they can be caused by teething so I gave her some tylenol and she still had one this morning so I gave her some more. What do you all do to help the side effects of teething as well as the teething? Could use any suggestions - thanks :)
