Using Portable DVD Player on Airplane Ride

My husband, kiddos and I will be taking a trip to visit family in a month or so. My son is 3 1/2 and daughter is 2 1/2. We've been thinking about bringing our portable DVD player along on the plane to occupy their attention for a bit since it will be a long plane ride. Have any of you done this? My husband is a bit concerned that the sound of the show playing will irritate other passengers. HELP! My 4 Year Won't Sleep in Her Own Room.

Hi My name is M. and my daughter is Neida she is 4 years old. She slept in her room a couple of times by herself. But now the past 1yr and a half she has been sleeping of and on in our room. I. My DS will be 1 in less than 2 months!! I am looking for ideas and theme ideas. I am thinking we will invite mostly family and a few friends of ours with kids that are all under 2 (about 25 to 30 people). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated? What to do, where to have it, food ideas, etc.
