Future Mom Terrified of Labor and Delivery

I am wondering if anyone out there can calm my strong fear of going through childbirth. I am 36 weeks this week with my first (and probably only child... read on... ) and realize that I don't have much time left to go. Going into Labor

I am having my first baby. I went to the doctors office about 3 days ago and thats when my doctor cheaked me and said i was three centimeters and said I was softening. My doctor told me she expected my baby to be here within a week! I am now eighteen and im almost 38 weeks. Im going crazy waiting for my baby to get here! Every day i expect here to come but i just dont understand why I havnt had contractions or went into labor. Allowing 7 Year Old to Join in Birth Experience

Hello I am 35 weeks pregnant and my 7 year old keeps telling me that he wants to be at the hospital to witness the birth of his sister. He has been asking for a few months and I honestly thought he would give up on the idea. I had been against the idea , as I was worried about him being scared/traumatized but our doula said she had experienced young children at births with no problems. Does anyone have any experience with this matter? Thanks for all your feedback! C.
