My doctor just switched my BC pills and put me on Yaz. I have been reading the reviews and there seem to be alot of negative responses. The ones that are good are really good but the ones that are bad are really bad. If you are currently on or have been on in the past can you please tell me your experience with them. Please let me know if you gained/lost weight also. I have enough problems gaining weight easily I don't need that from a pill. Also do they make you tired? That was also one of the negative things people said about them.

What can I do next?

I was on Yaz for 3 years until last year when my DH got a vasectomy. I loved Yaz. I did not gain weight and I did not feel tired. As an added bonus for me, it cleared up my skin.
If I had to take another pill, I'd use Yaz again. Try it. You can stop if you don't like it.

I've been on Yaz for a year now and love it. I have yet to find a birth control that doesn't make you gain weight, so yes, I did, but it's no different than the others, imho. I'm the happiest I've been ever on bc, so all I can say is positive things about it. I do have endometriosis, so I may be in a different boat than you. Everyone is different hormonally, which is why everyone has a different opinion on bc.

I have been on Yaz now for almost 3 months and it's worked great for me. I've even noticed that I'm not nearly as cranky when I'm premenstral. I have NOT had a problem with weight gain or feeling tired. However, I workout 4 or 5 days a week and that probably helps. I also drink 1 or 2 liters of water every day. Side effects may depend on your age, lifestyle and diet. I'm 46.

I took Yaz for a few months and it made me hungry constantly. It sounds weird, I know, but all I wanted to do was eat, so I stopped taking them.

I have been on YAZ for a year and a half and I think it's great! I have not been tired nor did it make me gain weight, if anything it has helped me maintain because I just feel better(hormones are normal) while on it. My periods last only a day and half and they are really light. I hope this helps.
