My daughter will be 3 in January. At this age we still do family only birthday parties so we have them at home. I figure when she gets older and has real friends we'll be going all out....at this age, while we can still get away with it, we're keeping it small and inexpensive. But that being said, how about a children's museum, bounce house place, kids gym, etc. I don't know your area but we have lots of these kinds of places in the Dallas area. ??

My daughter turned 3 yesterday and we are having her b-day party at the bowling alley. Besides the bumpers the bowling alley also has a ramp the kids can use to help roll the ball. I'm very excited because this means I don't have to clean my house and I only have to provide cake, ice cream and minimal decorations. Being 15 wks pregnant I don't have a whole lot of energy. Good luck with your search!

If you have Magic Mountain or Galaxy Golf & Games in your area, I think both of these have indoor play areas for renting.

That being said, we just had ours at home (family only, like Rebecca G.), and bundled the little ones up and ran them around outside for a while (maybe 30-45 min), came in, ate dinner, open presents & had cake.
