We're considering buying a Wii for Christmas this year for our 5-year-old daughter and husband and I. We've played bowling and baseball at a friend's house; bowling was fun but baseball -- meh.
What are the must-have games? Where did you find the best price on the system/games? Anything in particular I should know? We have a large DLP HD tv.
At this point, I haven't looked into anything online yet, just wanted to get some opinions from the mamas :)
Mario Party is such a fun game. We love playing this one. If you've never played, its like playing a board game with Mario characters and after everyone's turn you play mini games against each other. I think most games run the same price everywhere unless they are an older game then you might get them cheaper.
I'm not sure if your daughter is into princesses but my daughter is 3 and loves the Disney Princess game. She also loves the Dora games. Have fun!!
If you like puzzles, we have I-Spy and I really like it. My 6 year old loves puzzles and likes this one also.
My son loves all of the Mario games--especially Mario Kart and Super Sluggers. His friend (a girl) likes Mario Kart as well. He wants Sports Resort for Christmas.
my husband and i recently purchased a WII and i would highly suggest getting the new wii- ours came with a controller, nunchuck, wii sports, and wii sports resort. we got the mario galaxy 2 game and it is awesome! maybe not for a 5 year old but you and your hubby might like it. we became total dorks about it. sesame street has a lot of educational games out now. you can also get netflicks streamed through your wii, the internet, and news and weather! my husband also got me the jillian michaels workout 2010 and it really does kick your butt!
