Where to Go for Paint-your-own Ornaments?

For Christmas this year I thought it would be neat to take my 1-yr-old to a paint-your-own pottery place & put his handprint on ornaments for our family. Does anyone have a place that you recommend in the Allen/Plano/Frisco/McKinney/Richardson area? Thanks!

(I thought about making these at home but want something that is going to actually last...)

So What Happened?

Walls of Clay was out of ornaments that would fit my son's hand, so we went to Quiggly's Clayhouse in Richardson. I learned (the hard way) to ask for the owner (Kristy) to help with handprints (rather than the well-meaning newly-hired gal), and to listen to her when she says you'll get a bad print... I spent $18 on a good "memory" but not quite the ornament I had pictured in my head. I have to say that she was really good in working with people, and I'd gladly go back! We're picking up our ornament this week. Thanks, all!

Love You More Ceramics on Main Street in Frisco
Feat of Clay @ Parker/Ohio near Elmer Swim School in Plano
There is also one at the corner of Parker & Independence in Plano (near Gymboree & Half Priced Books) but can't remember the name.

Good luck!

Kristi and Kirby are SUPER nice. DH took his daughter there 2 years ago (she lives in OH) and every time she comes to visit, she wants to go back there...

GREAT PEOPLE!

We have taken our boys to paint an ornament every year since they were 1 and last year was our first year in TX. We went to a place in downtown McKinney located next door to Mama Emilia's. It is a small place but they were very friendly. I can't remember the name of it but it is in downtown McKinney. Hope this helps!

There's a place on the Square in McKinney called Walls of Clay. You can paint ornaments (and a ton of other stuff) and can also do hand/footprints. We went there a few weeks ago and let my daughter paint an ornament and then we made tiles with her handprint and my son's footprint. If you go there, just make sure you label your item b/c they ended up losing my daughter's ornament and had to give us another one. We were happy with the work they did, though, and we got 3 tiles and the ornament for about $30.
