I like the website Crayola.com they have really good craft ideas, they have special ideas for different occasions and detailed instructions. They are very kid friendly as well.
My daughter's father and I are no longer together, but I always help her make him a present for Father's Day. Last year she gave him a t shirt with her handprints on it. I'm at a loss at what to do this year. His birthday is also at the end of this week, so I'm trying to think of two different projects she can do: one for his birthday and one for Father's Day. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!!!

I'd go to the paint your own pottery place and make a tile or cookie plate or even a coffee mug w/ hand prints and painting by your daughter. My husband has a 14 year old daughter who lives in Toronto. His favorite gifts from her (when he would get them) were always the homemade things.
A while back I took my little one to a paint-your-own pottery place and made a picture frame for DH. Because it's a frame, there wasn't room for a whole handprint or footprint, but I used ds's and my fingerprints and made fish out of them. Then I wrote "Daddy's little fishing buddy" on the frame in ceramic puff paint so it would stand out. There's a pic of DS in it, and when he's old enough to go fishing with DH, I'll put a picture of them from a fishing trip in it. Since you have a dd, you could make her fingerprints into little ladybugs and say something like "Daddy's little lady".
I have a lot more ideas and poems around, but they're more geared towards moms and mother's day. I also thought about having one of DH's favorite pics of DS put onto a mousepad for his office since he works so much.
Oriental Trading Comopany has some cute ones. I do daycare and that's where I get my holiday projects mostly from. orientaltradingcompany.com
My son-now 14-made a little plaster hand print when he was about 2. It was a kit I bought at the craft shop, where you mix up plaster, dump in this little cookie-tin type thing, and make hand impression in the wet plaster. We gave one to each of his grandparents. This weekend my mom came to visit from across the country, she brought the handprint my son and I made in 1994 and gave it back to me, and she also brought one I made in 1969 for her when I was in first or second grade.
Try familyfun.com and kaboose.com, I get a lot of my project ideas off of those sites.

Target has tiles you can paint in the kids craft section, they also have plates to decorate too :)
My kids have done these projects for grandparents and it's a big hit.
Or the handprints on a kitchen towel...check out familyfun.com they have tons of cute ideas on there!
Hi N.,
Funny you should ask. I'm in a MOMs club and today actually we're meeting to do a fathers day craft. We're each bringing a jar - any size - and we're going to decorate the outside with construction paper, stickers, markers, paint, etc and inside we're going to put pieces of paper with sayings of why I love my daddy inside. I've never done them but your daughter should be able to do some good helping and it'll be fun for both of you.

For future reference, the Big Yellow Box people have some great ideas/kits.
Family Fun magazine has some really fun ideas in the current issue. You could take a look at it at Barnes & Noble or the library.
You could have the kids decorate some photo frames and include photos of them in it - especially photos of them with their dad, if you have any.
The decorations could be paint or stickers or other things - glued on, dribbled on, etc.
