Mpics.com. great quality, excellent prices. My friend takes pics professionally and this is who she uses.
I bought a really nice almost professional digital camera. I am slowly learning how to use it. I just printed several prints at Walgreens and they are all washed out, not good at all. They look nothing like the digital pictures on my computer. The ones on my computer are beautiful. Where do you get your prints developed? I'll pay more for higher quality!! Online places are find too!! Thanks

I use Walgreens and have never had any problems with any of my pics... I've heard of snapfish but don't know anyone who uses them or if likes them
First you need to make sure it isn't something you are doing. Regardless of where I have them printed my digital photos come out great. Depending on your settings what you see on your computer is not always how the prints will come out.
I upload to Costco's website and they ship them to the store or my home. You can also do them in store.
Again your pictures are not going to turn out anywhere if your settings are off but not knowing your camera I can't help you there. Just start by making sure you are using the highest quality settings on your camera. They take up a lot more space but worth it because you can make damn near any size prints without them going all funky.
Oh another site is mpix.com when you upload there and print they will tell you what size prints you can make on the quality of the photo.
Try another Walgreens. I never have a problem there.
I use Shutterfly with matte finish (instead of glossy). I am almost always pleased with them.
Shutterfly, they do an amazing job with everything. Best to order online from them, the in store pick up depends on how the store normally prints. Online we have done prints up to 11x14, mugs, calendars and photobooks and everything has come out great. Their customer service is also good and there are always coupons. We also have a share site with them and love the full sized pictures unlimitedbstorage.
I did recently print at two stores for pickup the same pictures and onevaetvwas warmer and one cooler colors dependingbon their processing. Outdoor pictures looked better from one and indoor from thebother. Ordering straight from shutterdly the colors have always been greatn
Target does well and I simply love Shutterfly.
I agree about Walgreens. It is hit or miss. You should take em back and get your money back. I used to go there before I realized you could edit and send prints online. I liked using their kiosk. The thing is, the pics always got cut off and coloring wasn't like it was on my screen. I found out it had to do with the size of the finished print. Digital prints are not 4 by 6 as a true image size. I found this out via snapfish. When you order from them, they give you the option of having prints that are not size altered to be in true digital size. I love the option. I am not a fan of Costco-quality issues as well. I don't support Walmart so I have no idea how good they are. I chose snapfish because I print a LOT and wanted the cheapest option with okay quality. They have free shipping on a $25 order or more often. They also have 50 percent off your order now and then. If you pay 9 cents a print and shipping, the cost comes out to about the same as Target or Walgreens. But if you pay 9 cents a print and have free shipping it is a steal. And they have a satisfaction guarantee if you are not happy.
I used to go to Ritz camera in Nap,es, and they did an excellent job. When I tried a other Ritz in Centsl FL the picture quality was really crappy...the technician told me that Naples was a high volume store and had better equipment , this location is a low volume store and has old equipment....interestingly though they wanted to charge me the same price! I just took my negatives back to Naples. Now that I don't live near a Ritz, I email, them to Walmart and they do a great job. I emailed some to Walgreens at Father's day..and had individual pri t's made + a collage that they were offering. The coloring on some of the same pictures was night and day between the prints and collage...in one the water at the beach was green on one and blue on the other (same picture), and a picture of my daughter with a white hat on holding a sandollar was so dark on the collage that you couldn't see her face at all. I showed them the difference and they made some reprints, but overall the quality wasn't great and I wouldn't go back.
Sam's Club
I thought all processors were the same until I sent some photos to Walgreens for printing. What a difference! The pictures from Walgreens were washed out and the colors were not rich. The manager ended up keeping the pictures and refunding my money.
I have done my Christmas cards through Costco and their pictures seem to be the same quality as Sam's.
Shutterfly.com for sure. And I've used them all -- online and order online and print out in the store. I've found that Shutterfly has the best pic quality and when you have them print it and mail to you (rather than selecting printing at Target, etc. which is also an option) -- the photos turn out better. Shutterfly is also sending me lots of discounts, coupons, free prints, etc. because I'm a customer. I just received 50 free prints yesterday from them :)
I use Walgreens for my high quality digital pics as well and have always had good results...
Buy a good printer and do it yourself, that's what i do. It's easier and saves
A trip somewhere.
I usually print them at home, but I've also done them through CVS, you can send them your prints online and pick them up at the store. You can also send them to stores across the country, I've done this for my dad that lives several hrs away. I send them to the store and they can pick them up on their end
My husband always gets photos developed at a local camera shop, we've found that the photos are of much better quality then when developed at places like Walmart/Walgreens.
Wolf Camera also does an excellent job, not sure if there's one in your area.
.
Kodak online.
When I'm in a pinch I go to Wal-Mart. Whoever they send them out to does a nice job.
But way cheaper online. :)
ShutterFly has lots of free print specials, but I haven't taken advantage of it yet.
Try Costco. Prints are great and works out a lot cheaper as well.
we print most of ours at home (Canon MP810 color printer) - my shutterbug DH thinks it does a good enough job for most of his stuff but when he wants a higher quality image, he has a Canon PIXMA Pro9500 (because it can do black & white well) but that thing is huge and the inks have to be used pretty quickly once they've been opened)
We've also printed them out at Costco - not as good as what we get out of either of our home printers, but if we have a bunch of snapshots it's fine.
