What City/area Is Best Overall (Schools, Safety, People, Etc)

We just moved from Dearborn to Grosse Pointe Park and love it. All the Grosse Pointes are similar. Good schools and community services. We drive back to Dearborn frequently in about 30 to 35 mins

I work in Novi and have heard nothing but wonderful things about the school system and since I work in Novi and drive around that area, it's a great area to live in.

Livonia still has a wonderful school system and great family comunity. So does canton (but canton is very busy) but tons and tons of family things there.

CNN Money Magazine just ranked us 38th best in the country! The online article gives you all sort of stats and the ability to compare to your town.
I've been here for about six years - I'm orgianlly from the Novi-Livonia-Canton area. It was my husband that introduced me to Grosse Ile. It's been great here!
In terms of schools - Grosse Ile is ranked as one of the top/best in the State. Last time I checked we were right up at the top with the likes of Bloomfield Hills & Birmingham. Small class sizes (18-22 Students in Elementary.)
There is alot to offer here- All sorts of community programs,clubs, golfing, dance. Several Churches & Social organizations.

I currently live in Redford. We have researched schools around the area and have found that Farmington School District is the best in Oakland County. We were going to move there but have been unable to sell our house.
