Unfortunately the best vitamins are usually not found in store mass produced. I spend 10 years in the industry and I read all the reports. We found the best kids vitamins to be the Usana brand. They can only be ordered on line or through a rep. We had them on a monthly shipment.

I think I accidentally hit send before.... anyway, we use Juice Plus vitamins. There is one for fruits and one for vegetables. The kids love them (gummies) and there is a lot of great info about them. You have to get them from a distributor. I'd be happy to share with you who I order from. We also have been giving them Scooby Doo multi-vitamins. My husband wants to make sure they get everything they should be. Good luck!

I give my daughter VitLea Infant Powder from Shaklee, It's a powder I mix into her juice. They also have the next one up for kids, I think its a chewable. I ran this by my pediatrician who gave his seal of approval. A friend of mine who is a nutritionist sells these vitamins(and adult vitamins), everything is all natural, not synthetic, and they also sell green friendly cleaning products, etc. I can have her call you if your interested in learning more. She is always willing to just talk with people who want to learn more. If your interested, email me back a good number to reach you and I'll have her call. I've noticed my daughter doesn't sick very often now that she is on vitamins. Good for you for doing something about it now, Good luck!

I use the flintstone gummy multivitamins. I think pretty much any multivitamin that is lowest in sugar and your kids will take is a good supplement to your kids diet.
During the cold weather months or flu season I give them the one's with the extra "C" added to help boost their immune system.
Hope this helps.

Even my doctor tells ME to take Flinstones! They are super yummy, and kids often think they are candy.

HI! I use OneSource Active Kids with Extra C. They are kinda like flinstones, but a little better with more of the supplements.......You get more for the money, versus store brand or flinstones, work well too, kids like them.

Hi G...

I really like GummieVites..they are like a gummie bear. I recomend them because I tried several differnt vitamins and this one in particular made warts go away on my sons hands. I noticed this after a month of him using this vitamin. I told his babysitter who had a small wart on her finger to try Gummievites to see if it would work for her. IT DID her small wart was gone within two weeks. I do not know what is in them that attacks warts but it must be a good thing. Plus your child will like taking them.

Synthetic vitamins should be carefully considered. If your child were to swallow more than a couple, they would need to have their stomach pumped in an ER. It is imperative that you keep them out of reach.

That being said, I highly recommend looking at Juice Plus+, a whole food supplement. Your body knows what to do with whole food and it isn't toxic if your child eats a lot of it. It is doctor-recommended and has lots of independent research to back up its benefits.

If you would like more information or samples, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Be well,

M.

Our daughter has taken it since she was 4. She says they taste just like "sweetarts".

If you look at the entry for Soulsprings,LLC, the owner, Sara Crusade has a nutritional supplement product for children through Usana. You should check it out, the company uses Good Manufacturing Practices and the product is pharmaceutical grade. Definitely worth looking into. (Look at the mamasource page under health, and then vitamins and nutrition).

Hi G.,

My kids used Melaleuca brand kid's vitamins (Aussie Pals and Vita-Bears) and they worked wonders. One has iron and one is iron-free. They have a VERY high absorption rate because of a patented process called fructose-compounding. They are a pharmaceutical grade vitamin (not a drug store grade as the Flintstones and the other types you buy at Walmart). There are no artificial or processed sweeteners. They are sweetened with cherry juice which is also good for the teeth and gums.

They are very inexpensive for a pharmaceutical grade vitamin at $7.24 and $9.24 respectively. There are 120 tablets in a bottle.

Let me know if you would like more information. As a customer of Melaleuca, I would be happy to help!

Regards,

M.

Koala Pals from Melaleuca have been great for my kids for 7 years now. I first found them when Victoria was 3 months old and Rebekah was almost 2. We started using them immediately for Rebekah and when Victoria was 6 months old, I crushed up the chewable vitamin and put in on a spoon and she loved it. They still take them now.

They are made with a patented process called Fructose Compounding which causes the nutrients to actually be absorbed into the cells rather than go out into the sewer system!

I cannot even remember the last time either of them went to the doctor! It's so nice to have a product and company you can trust.

I hope you find exactly what you need for your family!!

It really depends on what they need. Two of my kids are anemic so I have to buy them the vitamins with iron, only available where I live in the chewable character. My sister has the gummie vitamins for her two, they don't need the iron. Check out what vitamins each one holds, and make sure if you get the ones that resemble candy, gum, or gummie characters to put them out of reach of children.
