I have a Walmart wax warmer. It works great and has never bubbled or splattered.

I think Scentsy is a gimmick. Yeah, it smells good, but it's overpriced. And I don't care that the wax is "food grade," because I'm not going to eat it!

As for the warmers, Walmart or Scentsy, they're all made in China. Probably in the same factory.

Store brand here (HEB, local grocery chain), never an issue.
As far as the fire hazard warning, if Scentsy doesn't have one on it, it should, that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. But I digress.
Ours stays on for long periods of time. I would never leave it on while not at home, it only takes about 10 minutes before you can fully smell it.

i also sell scentsy and what scarlett said i agree with. my mother always left her plug in on 24/7 and never had a problem. i leave mine on all the time too!! scentsy has run tests on how safe their warmers are and has never had a report of a fire or such being the cause. at a home show i left a warmer plugged in for 4 hours on top of a thin cardboard box to show people that our warmers don't get hot enough to burn anyone or anything!!! go with the real stuff!~!!

I sell Scentsy and have used it for years. I never turn my warmers off unless we are leaving the house for more than a few days (ie a week vaca), and I only do that to save the bulb life. The wax doesn't get hotter than room temperature (honestly, stick your finger in it, just like a lukewarm bath!).

I would NOT buy the wal mart or other knock off brands. I have had friends report they witness the wax getting so hot it bubbled and splattered onto their walls/curtains. There is a warning on the side of the wal mart brand that they are a fire hazard.

I can send you more info on Scentsy if you wish. I started using it bc it doesnt contain and phthalates, parabens, etc, and is MUCH safer than burning a candle with fire and harmful soot. If my kids stick their finger in it, (which one has), nothing happens but a little wax! No fire! It is great peace of mind.

There is nothing better than coming home after a long day and walking in to the smell of pumpkin roll in your kitchen and festival of tress in your living room! =)

And you're exactly right, it is no different than leaving a low-wattage lamp or other similar system on during the day.

Good luck!

I have three of them around my house that stay on 24/7. I usually put one wax square in each one per day, keeps my house smelling very nice. I use both Scentsy wax and the ones from Walmart, can't really tell a difference.

I wouldn't go with the knock off brand from any store, not just walmart. A friend of mine had hers get so hot that it burned the babies hand when he reached up. Even if you had it placed up high, why take a chance. Go with the Scentsy!

Mine is on 24/7. No problems yet!

It is in the kitchen though, on the backsplash where the kids cannot reach it and nothing really comes in contact with it.

It is hot to the touch though.

I love it too. I leave mine on all day, all the time! That's why I got it. I kept forgetting to blow out the candle! I turn it off at night to let it cool down and have a rest, but I don't worry about it during the day. And just an fyi (I'm not sure you were asking about the wax melts) the wal mart wax melt are great! Way cheaper than others, and better than most others! (Just incase you wondered! :) )

My husband insists on turning it off while we're gone, but I don't see the piont. We have no indoor pets that could knock it over or anything and it's set up high. I cleaned for a lady who kept hers on at all times and I appreciated it since she had 4 dogs who made the house smell.
ETA: I also buy the walmart scents and they smell great and I have had no issues with them at all.
