I just had mine done in August and it was covered, however if I am not mistaken the only way my doctor could do it was to say that it was medicaly nessessary because I delivered at a Catholic hospital....

I do remember asking before they knew where I was going to deliver and they said that it should be covered...

Hope this helped..

I've never heard of insurance covering it. If yours does, you are the lucky ones.. Most tubal ligation doctors offer plans that help in the process. In my case, we have saved for over a year:)

Mine was covered, but it was also done while they were in doing my c-section.

Yes, it usually is. Just check with your insurer. They will be able to tell you and if there are any special requirements. Mine was covered fully (less the percentage I would have to pay anyways) by my insurance company. If your insurance company has a website you can visit, try there first. It is usually under sterilization.

from what i understand it generally is covered by most medical insurance. many doctors have certain guidelines about age and number of children however. i know i dont know much about your situation, but please be sure you are definate about your decision. I underwent tubal ligation 5 years ago and regret it deeply! good luck to you!
