Does anyone know if there is a place (online or anywhere) where people can find businesses to barter with? For example, I have an advertsing business and would like to find a few home service businesses to trade with. Is there some sort of online forum for bartering? I know years ago my parents did something similar with our dentist, but that was before the internet. I thought maybe any of you mamas with businesses might know of a place to look. I googled barter and just found big national companies-nothing local.

I don't know of any in Dallas, i do in Houston if that interests you. Not sure if you are looking for something tangible or just services. I am a bow maker, and do some handmade Boutique clothing, flip flops, ect....I wouldn't mind trading for some advertising. i am new to the are so i could sure use it!! I checked into it with my business, but I am not ready to join at the moment because you do have to pay something like $1,000 cash to join. Call Russell at ###-###-####. I have it noted as "Austin Barter", but I don't think that's the name. It's a big national company. Good luck!

Check with your local chamber of commerce. I think the members of those will do things like that. Not sure if you have to be a member or not though...
