Seeking OBGYN Who Delivers at Banner Desert

Dr Eric Hazelrigg w/ Comprehensive Womens Health - Gilbert & Guadalupe ###-###-#### (I think that is the #) He is awsome.  He is very thorough and explains everything so you understand.  He takes his time with you so you feel at ease with all that is going on.  I was refered to him by a friend and there are several other girls at my work that go to him now too.  Just a bit of advice - call right away if you are thinking about using him he gets very busy & appts fill up fast. aslo try to make an appt in the morning he tends to get backed up due to him taking his time to answer all questions

You don't say where you live, but I can't say enough good things about Southwest Women's Care in Ahwatukee. The entire Dr. and nursing staff there is absolutely excellent. For a ped., we love the staff at Camelback Pediatricians at Camelback and 44th. It's been worth the drive for us, and they are open on Sat. mornings for emergencies and sick care.

He was been my doctor for 8 years and delivered my firs son last June. I would never see another doctor. He is wonderful and his assistant, Michele, is also fantastic. Good Luck!

I believe the facility is called Contemporary Care for Women and the Doctors are all great. My daughter and best friend go there and LOVE it. My daughters physician is Dr. Tiersa Damore, M.D. and my friend sees Dr. Paul S.K. Tamanaha, M.D. They have a wonderful reputation, a beautiful office and deliver at Banner Desert only. There are other physicians available at their offices (one in Tempe one in Gilbert)to choose from. Congratulations!

I also went to Contemporary Care for Women in Tempe for both of my kids and still see them for my yearly exams. Dr. Alperin is my doctor and he is very kind and caring. I had initially really wanted a female doctor, but was so happy and comfortable with him. The other docs in the practice that I met were great, too. Both my babies were born at night, so I was delivered by two of the women doctors in the practice. They were great, too.

I take my kids to Mesa Pediatrics, which is right downstairs from Contemporary Care for Women (they also have other offices in the Valley). We've really liked all of the doctors we've seen there, too, and they get you in quickly. They also have an on-call service for questions/problems after hours. Good luck in your search!

I would recommend Dr Joel Falk at Comprehensive Women's Health if he is covered under your insurance. His office is located at Gilbert/Guadalupe but delivers at Banner Desert. He delivered my 3rd and after that experience I wished I had switched sooner! He is very caring and even called me on a Sunday once when I miscarried to make sure I was doing alright!

Dr. Ivchenko at Partner's in Women's Health. See the comment from Jennifer B. as she has all of the details in there. He came to visit me while I was in the hospital for preterm labor even though my "treatment" had been turned over to the high-risk OBs at the hospital.

Looks like many of us think along the same lines... Contemporary Care for Women. My Doc is Alperin, however Lew and Damore were the on call docs when my kids were born... I must say I haven't met a doc there that I haven't liked... As far as pediatricians... I go to MPPA (http://www.mesapeds.com/), they were recommended by my doc. Good luck!

Another plug for Dr. Linnerson at Contemporary care for women. He delivered my son, our first child on May 8th at banner desert. Both my husband and I love him. He is very patient and will answer even the most ridiculous questions. We also had a great experience at banner desert.

Contemporary Care for Women at www.careforwomen.net is the best! There's a tempe and gilbert location. Dr Tamanaha is my Dr and delivered my first child in 2005 and Dr. Lepetich delivered my baby 8 weeks ago and I loved them both. You can't go wrong with this practice. They have a wonderfullly efficient office and a very courteous staff. I highly recommend this practice for your pregnancy and further gyn care. Congrats and Best wishes for a healthy baby! R. Bet u are getting lots of responses but....my dr. is awesome. Dr. Steven Linnerson...voted best obgyn in Phoenix. He is at Contemporary Care for Women, Tempe office, ###-###-####. I have seen all the other drs in the office also, I haven't had a bad experience. Everyone is great!

i don't want my doc busier than they already are, but sw women's care is amazing for us and they deliver at banner.
i've been oneof their patients for 10 years through 4 miscarriages, infertility issues, 2 babies and an iud :).
can't tell you how great they are - like our family now.

I TOO loved Contemporary Care for Women. I went to the Gilbert office, and saw Dr. Steven Lepetich. Highly recommended, I also saw Dr. Tamanaha when Dr. Lepetich was on vacation, and he was great.

I also use Gilbert Pediatrics for my daughter. We see Dr. Randy Leavitt. He's great for first time moms- he answers questions before you even ask them!

I love, love, love Dr. Mikel. His number is ###-###-####. He is on Val Vista & Baseline Road. I'm pretty sure he still delivers there and I know that he delivers at the new hospital on Higley & the US 60. He is absolutely wonderful and is very good! I recommend you check out the new hospital on Higley because I've heard from someone who recently delivered there that the rooms are state of the art. Dr. Mikel was on the board that designed the rooms and got the latest equipment. Good luck!

Dr John Holmes delivered my son 7 years ago there! I think hes still there! he was awsome! I wish he could have been my Doctor for everything! hes very kind and I thought had a great bed side manner! I was crying in his office while pregnant?? big surprise! any ways he offered me a hug. at first i thought it was a bit weird but then i felt he was just genuine! his office was there as well! good luck

I recommend Dr. Greg Marchand. He is super caring and he is also the ONLY doctor in the area that does all his own deliveries there. When I took the tour of the delivery unit the woman giving the tour told us that we shouldn't expect our delivery doctor to be the same doctor we see in the office, but she didn't know about Desert Women's Care! I am happy there is at least one OBGYN out there who still cares enough about his patients to deliver them personally!

I love Dr. Eric Hazelrigg (and everyone else) at Comprehensive Women's Healthcare! I have seen the other OBGYNs and the nurse practitioners during my many years there. They are all wonderful! They only deliver at Banner Desert. The office is located on the SW corner of Gilbert & Guadalupe, behind a grocery store (that I think is not there anymore.)

I love when these questions are on here because I can't recommend enough people to Dr. Steven Linnerson - he is AWESOME! He gets just as excited about the baby as you are. He delivered 2 of my children, the most recent in January. He delivers at Banner Desert and all the nurses there think he is great too. His office was far for me as I live in far East Mesa, but so worth drive. He is on McClintock and Gaudalupe. Your horrible experience wasn't with Dr. Craig Seal was it? He is the worst. Sorry for anyone reading this that loves him, but mentally there is something wrong with that doctor. If it was him, I would love to talk and compare stories. I plan on filing a complaint on him in the near future. Anyways, I hope you find a doctor that you like because it makes all the difference in the world. Honestly. Good luck and congratulations! I have been seeing Dr. Michael Ivchenko at Partners in Women's Health which is located at 2501 E. Southern Ste. #14 (between Price and Dobson on Southern) for 10 years now. He has delivered both of my children (ages 10 & 3). There is also another doctor by the name of Dr. Carrie Schallock which works as a partner with him in case you would rather have a female doctor. Both boys have been going to East Valley Children's Center since they have been born. There are a group of doctors there so it isn't hard to get an appointment. Their main doctor is Dr. Aaron who is very good with the children however they have seen other doctors when he wasn't available and they are all very good with the children. The website for this office is www.evcc.net. Their office is located just north of the Manuel's restaurant between Price & Dobson on Southern. The street is George Dr.

I delivered both of my children at Banner Desert (Desert Sam) and had a very good experience both times with the doctors that I had chosen plus the staff at the hospital. We had some complications with my first son and he had to stay in the care center for four days. Every day one of the doctors from the EVCC come over to see him and then visit me with an update on how he was doing. That was very comforting to me since he was my first child and I was very scared. He is now 10 and very healthy and happy!
