I just moved here a few months ago, and we are now expecting our second child. I had a great doctor for my first baby. Very laid back, but friendly and bubbly, easy going, easy to talk to, etc. I was dialated at a 4 1/2-5 for about 3 weeks, not feeling anything, so she induced me. I had an easy labor, no rips tears, so I didn't even need stitches. Has anyone had similar experiences with a doctor in the Gilbert area? Or can recommend a really great doctor? I really would feel more comfortable with a female, do to other past experiences. Thanks for any help!

I'd highly recommend Dr. Tamanaha or Dr. Lepetich of Contemporary Care for Women in Gilbert, AZ. They are both male, but there are several females in their practice that I think you would find suitable (Dr. Damore and Dr. Lu are wonderful per my friends). Dr. Tamanaha delivered my first and I loved his gentle, quiet manner and genuine concern throughout the pregnancy, labor, delivery and beyond. Dr. Lepetich delivered my second because I delivered so quickly (I was in the hospital less than an hour before birth) and he was in house. He was wonderful too! I have the best Dr.!! I am a Nurse and would recommend him to anyone. He delivered my 10 month old. His name is Grayson Guzman. His office is in East Mesa right at Mountain Vista Medical Center. He is affiliated with that hospital, Gilbert Mercy and Chandler. Call him today!!!!
I had a similar experience. My first child was born out of state and we had the best doctor EVER! I was really concerned with finding a new doctor here that would come close. A friend who is also an L&D nurse recommended Dr Christine Brass-Jones. I love her office- everyone in the office is great. And she will be the one who delivers my child. I really like that. Oh, and she delivers at Banner Gateway- which I've heard great things about. Her practice is True Harmony & Wellness. THe address is on Vineyard in Mesa.

I had my worst experience at Dr. Christine Brass-Jones' office. I always had to wait at least 30 minutes for every appointment. Her office staff is not friendly and extremely unprofessional. They didn't bill my insurance ontime so I had to pay for my annual exam out of pocket. I could go on and on. I went there for 2 years and I will never set foot in that office again!
I highly recommend Oasis Obgyn. They are located at Brown and Higley. There are two women doctors. Dr. Messer and Dr. Bullaro. Both are incredible doctors. Their phone is ###-###-#### and their email is oasisob.com - hope this helps.

I just had a baby last Januray and my doctor was Ernestine Bustamante-Roman. She's on Chandler Blvd. just West of Alma School. I live in Glibert but it was worth the short drive to her office. I love her. She's very friendly and easy going. I actually had an apt with her yesterday and after we took care of business we talked about day care centers (she has a 17 month old son). Dr.Greyson Guzman, I love him! He delivered my baby (c-section) at Mercy Gilbert and is head of OB at the new Mountain View hospital. Easy to talk to, great sense of humor and very very smart. I've never been to a man ob/gyn but he makes you feel comfortable, well as you can get in some situations =) 24 hour nursing for questions. Good Luck

I had my baby 2 months ago, and Valley Women for Women are the doctors I used. There are 5 doctors. You see all of them while going to your pre natal appointments. This way, whomever is on call when you go into labor will be someone you've met. I really liked ALL the doctors. Dr. Adams was my favorite, but they were all good.
I delivered at Mercy Gilbert and thought that hospital was AMAZING!
