I recently moved back to Michigan from Texas, where I had my first child and LOVED my OB/GYN (I wish I could have brought her with me to Michigan LOL). Anyways, needless to say I'm in need of a new one. I prefer a woman, associated with Beaumont (that's supposed to be a good L/D hospital right?), good surgeon (i had to have a c-section with my first), experienced with Mirena (I have Mirena right now and am looking to have it removed so we can try for our 2nd). I live in Lake Orion, husband works in Northville, so anywhere in between would be fine.
Also, if you have recommendations for a pediatrician and/or family doctor that would help me as well!

I would highly recommend Dr Deborah Mikula out of Clinton Women's Health Clinic. The practice is associated with Troy Beaumont. I know they have another office, more towards the east side (Utica maybe?). I had a high risk c-section that went off without a hitch thanks to her. Not only that, she has a WONDERFUL bedside manner. Ive also heard great things about Dr. Daniel Greene. I used Generations OBGYN in Birmingham. It can be a little bit of a drive but they were amazing. There are male and female doctors there so you will be meeting each one just in case one is on call when you deliver. The office is on Woodward and they deliver at Royal Oak Beaumont. I had no preference in male or female. I think my favorite there was Dr Dykowski. He is SO nice and even has a good sense of humor. I had my first son at Crittenton in Rochester and can't say enough good things about the hospital. I love my doctor that works out of Crittenton- Dr. Daniel Greene at Comtempory OB in Rochester (right across from the hospital). There office number is ###-###-####. Good luck.
I go to Dr. Lingam at Advanced Womens Health Specialists in Rochester. She is absolutely FABULOUS! My husband wishes she could be all of our doctor for everything.
A good family /Ped doctor is Dr Cox based in Paint Creek pediatrics in Oakland Township. Good with kids and always willing to fit you in at very short notice..Their nurses are fantastic too as is the male physicians assistant which my son loves!
i was with beaumont and switched about 6 months ago to crittiten. My ob is awesoem very highly qualified and there the most sweetes people at the office there contemparary gynocologist. CHeck out there website totally awesoem people I am so thank full for the switch. It may even be closer to you too.
Doctors Frederick Bartholomew and April Sarvis are highly respected (especially by other doctors who have themselves and their wives used them). Their office is at the NW corner of Woodward Ave and Square Lake. So it's very close to I-75. They are in the Beaumont network and are both on the review board for both the Troy and the Royal Oak Beaumont Birth Centers. Check them out.
Child Health Associates on Big Beaver in Troy (they have a Farmington Hills office also) is very good. They are near I-75 also.
Troy Internal Medicine on Invesentment Drive in Troy is a great practice for you and your husband.
You probably miss more than your OBGYN in Texas with this weather we have now! I love visiting Austin where my husband works weekly. We spend a lot of time there.
