Seeking OB-GYN in Bloomfield Hills, MI Area

I would highly recommend Somerset OB/GYN (ph ###-###-####) (they are right by the mall and deliver exclusively at Royal Oak Beaumont). There are five Dr's and I have seen them all...all excellent and very good. Also, Generations OB/GYN in downtown Birmingham is supposed to be excellent as well (also deliver out of RO Beaumont). I had my first baby last November and I did a tremendous amount of research on this very subject. I went through Somerset OB/GYN and I also know many of friends who have gone through Generations.

I would recommend Dr Golusin, Dr Ahmad and Dr Beglin- The practice is called Wilshire Obstetrics and Gynecology. They deliver at royal oak beaumont. Their office is on crooks near 17 mile. They followed me through my pregancy last year and delivered my daughter. I was pleased with my care and pleased that I never had to wait in their office forever. My appts were always on time. When I was in the hospital in labor Dr. Ahmad came by to check on me, Dr. Beglin delivered and Dr. Golusin came by to release me.. Golusin in older 60ish. Ahmad and Beglin are younger. Beglin is a female..

I used to see Dr Mark Werner. My friend that is currently pg sees him and has for years and loves him.

I went to him years ago as a GYNO and needed to have some surgery. He was insisting we do it in the office under Demerol and I WANTED to do it in the hospital under General. He had me so upset one day that he left me crying in his office for an hour. That day was a horrible experience. Overall, I did like him, he was honest and upfront and did give me the surgery in the hospital as I requested eventually.

Just thought I'd give my experience with him.

I can recommend 2 different OB-GYN practices - both of which deliver at Beaumont Royal Oak. One is located in Troy and the other is located in Farmington Hills (12 mile near Drake) and they each delivered one of my children. I moved and got tired of the drive to my Troy OB, so I switched to the FH practice which came highly recommended. My second pregnancy became hi-risk, and West Oakland OB-GYN doctors were great (I saw a lot of them, every week!)

My mother and sister both use Jaclyn McClosky (Generations) in B'ham.

I love my doctor. His practice is at Woodward and Square Lake. His name is Dr. Bartholemew and the other doctor is Dr. Sarvis(female). So you have a choice.....

I highly recommend this practice....about 20 people I know go to this practice and are all happy. Good luck!

I highly recommend Premier Women's Health. They are Dr. Matoian and Dr. Powell, both females. They are located at 13 and Telegraph. DON'T go to Mark Werner... someone undoubtedly will suggest him. He is sweet and wonderful and talks to you about everything BUT you wait for up to 2 hours to see him and he is alone in his practice. He was my GYN when I had time to wait then I needed an OB GYN and we gave him up. His equiptment was also old and I was sent to Royal Oak Beaumont several times for tests.
GO TO GENERATIONS IN BIRMINGHAM. They have 8 doctors I think, only one is goofy, nice, very qualified, just a little goofy in my mind. The others are all terrific! My primary is Kathleen Houston, there is one other woman, (if you prefer a woman), Jaclyn McClosky who actually ended up delivering my 9 month old (Nov 2005)... both wonderful women, don't get all hyped up about things and make you feel hyped up. They are professional and there ultrasound equipment is top notch and so are the technicians. I had a great experience there. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant with number 2 and popped in for my first visit last week, (looks like we may see eachother in the office :)). LOVE THEM!

I just had my first baby 2 weeks ago and I I could not have asked for a better group of ob-gyns. They are Somerset Ob/Gyn located in Troy at Big Beaver and Coolidge. (Not far from Bloomfield Hills at all.) They are all wonderful. There are two women and two men in the practice. I have had wonderful experiences with all of them. Dr.Ohm delieved my little guy two weeks ago and Dr. Long was on rounds for my hospital stay and was excellent about checking up on us to see how we were doing.
