Hi! I'm new to the Milwaukee area (Franklin). I'm 14 wks pregnant and not very happy with my current Ob/gyn. I'm looking for a new doctor and a great birthing hospital. I'd like a woman doctore who is experienced, professional, friendly, warm, personable and ACCESSIBLE. Any recommendations - please reply!!

I got their references also from friends like you...so would really appreciate if you can write back if you know anything about them. At first I thought I only wanted a woman doc too until I met my OB I have been seeing Dr. Sam Craft out of Lakeshore Medical Clinic in St. Francis by the airport for over 11 years. He delivered both of my children and was excellent in an emergency situation with my first pregnancy. I birthed my second daughter at West Allis Memorial Women's Hospital and was very impressed by the care. You can also research doctors at the Aurora site.

Dr Lauren Moore, part of the Physicians of OB/GYN group, has an office in Franklin off of 76th and Rawson Ave. She just delivered my daughter on Sept. 6th. She's very nice. listens well and gives great advice. She was very involved and encouraging during the delivery also. As far as which hospital. Don't think twice - deliver at West Allis Memorial on 91st and Lincoln Ave. It is the hotel of hospitals with excellent doctors and nurses. The rooms really are like a 5 star hotel. My daughter had to stay an extra night so they let us stay as guests after I had been discharged, free of charge. From Sunday morning through Wednesday afternoon, every single nurse was super nice and caring. Almost like it's mandatory for them to have excellent bedside manor!

I know you received enough responses. I just had to add one more. I really like Dr. Kathleen Trebian. Her own practice Lakeshore OBGYN, and she is the only physician there. You see her always and she delivers your baby. Good Luck.
I agree with Andrea--Dr. Moehring delivered all 3 of my kids--including my twins who had multiple complications, and helped M. through a miscarriage last year. She's careful, but doesn't mind making decisions when she needs to. She always takes time to answer my questions. And she's very personable. I just love her.

I can’t recommend a doctor, because I am seeing one in Illinois, but I can tell you I am very angry at Dr. Julianne Newcomer over at Froedtert hospital. I have had a hysterectomy when I didn’t need one. I was not told all my options before the surgery. I thought she was doing what was best for M. but I was wrong. I had other options that she never told M. about. She also didn’t tell M. all she did to M. during the surgery. I had called and called and she wouldn’t return my calls. On my post-op checkup I took my sister with M. to help M. talk with the doctor to find everything she did to M., and Newcomer refused to have my sister in the room with M.. I never found out from her what was done to M.. I have found out from other doctors what was done. According to M. she is a horrible doctor.
