You could absolutely have a great time there for 2 days. I love Schlitterbahn. Another option is to go tubing on the Comal river. Rockin R does a good job, they rent you the tubes and then pick you up at the bottom and drive you back.
I am taking my 16 year old and 10 year old to Schlitterbahn in August. Just curious if the 2 day tickets are worth it or if money would be better spent doing something else in the area on day 2?

It's so much fun definitely worth the $
Have you ever floated down the guadalupe? That might be fun to do the second day.
Worth the 2 day pass. There is so much to do and one day won't be enough time. We usually ride the favorites more than once. (Remember, you can take in your own food and non-alcholic beverages!)
Schlitterbahn is huge and 2 days is perfect. Not that you couldn't enjoy more days, but doing in all in one day will be tough. We rented a cabin on the grounds 2 years ago and spent two days with our 9 and 7 year old and really enjoyed it.
I agree with Kelsi S. It's so much fun!
They can do everything at Schlitterbahn in a good full day. I'd use the second day to go tubing down the Guadalupe River, but I'm sure you'd want an adult along for the ride on that adventure with your 16 & 10 yr olds.
I LOVE SCHLITTERBAHN!!! There is definately enough fun for 2 days!
I LOVE this place!! I used to go every year with the family I nannied and their family is still going and taking friends with them. The youngest just graduated from St. Marks. I have even been their with my family a few times too. I would say the best thing is to stay on the park. You usually have to get reservations in advance. I had a friend that just went and they were cleaning the bottom floor rooms in some areas from the flooding, but she said you would have never known. It is expensive but so worth it. You can let your kids meet you back at the room and all the rooms I have stayed in usually have some sort of kitchen. We would hardly ever eat in the park. We would usually do it in three days. My suggestion, because we have done this for some many years, is to get to the Blastenhoff section of the park before it opens to get in line and do the "big rides" before the lines get too long. Then go over the Surfenburg for the rides over there including the Boogie Bahn. The original park is a good day to get all the rides. My friend that was recently there said the part of the long lazy river that spills you out into the Comal was closed because of the flooding but it isn't really much. Great place and they will love it!!!! Have fun!
We go for a family reunion to NB every year we have a house on the river though. We do one day at the Schlitterbahn and float the river the other day. You can float it and spend 2-4 hours depending on the current and its a blast too!
