We recently held a memorial service for my mother. There were many flower arrangements and plants sent to the funeral home. The day after the service, my husband and I went up to the funeral home to gather the plants and all the cards attached to the arrangements. Unfortunately, we did not write down which card went with which arrangement. Many of the cards do have a description of what was sent on the back of the card--thank goodness.
How can I word the thank-you notes to the wonderful people who sent one or the other when I'm not sure if they sent a plant or a floral arrangement?

I'm sorry for your loss. I would probably say something like, "Thank you so much for the beautiful gift in memory of my mother - we are overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness and love from all of our family and friends." Something like that. Best wishes.
Soccermomof1 has a good suggestion. Another idea: Dear XXXX, Thankyou for the lovely arrangement you sent to honor my mother. It is the love and support from all our family and friends that has made this difficult time easier to endure. Your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated.
I received a memorial thank you with the simple sentiment "Thank you fr remembering our mother." It didn't matter to me that they didn't reference specifically what I had sent, I thought it was very nice. I sent it b/c I wanted to remember their mom!
