I lived in West LA when my son was born so I toured a bunch of preschools. My favorite was Sunshine Daydreams, which is near Venice & Overland. I also really liked the UCLA Co-op (UPNS), though the waiting list there is veeeery long.

The other ones that I liked were Westwood United Methodist and Westwood Presbyterian, both of which are housed in churches but are not religious schools.

I toured, but did not like, Doheney School, located on Doheney just a little bit North of Santa Monica Blvd.

Good luck!
