Hi!
Does any one know an obstetrician in the Los Angeles area who allows natural births?

What can I do next?

Jason Rothbart, MD ###-###-####. I had a planned home water birth with a midwife and he was what is called my transfer of care MD--totally supports the gamut of natural birth options, including in the hospital. He works thru Cedars--which I also recommend--I ended up having to transfer after a 36 hr non medicated labor and ended up delivering my 9lb 10 oz, 24 " long son (whew!) with Dr Rothbart at Cedars by emergency c-section.. His attitude and great approach made even having to switch the whole plan from home with no drugs to hospital and major surgery doable. Very professional and down to earth. LOVE HIM!

Hi Aqa. I had a wonderful, water home birth with my 2nd baby. We tried with the first one but didn't end up as planned. Both times, I had a wonderful OB/GYN who worked well with my midwives. His name is Dr.David Kline. His number is ###-###-####. Good luck and kudos to you for going the natural route. It's the best for you and the baby.

Dr. Paul Crane - Beverly Hills. He delivered my 5 month old DD (at UCLA) with no IV, no meds, intermittent monitoring, etc.... He doesn't take insurance so you have to pay him upfront and then they will bill the insurance company after the birth. It's about 5K but it is soooo worth it. I cannot rave about him enough. I was crowning for over 1.5 hours and he knew I didn't want an episiotomy so he just kept at it...only a superficial cut and 5 stitches. ###-###-####.
Also HIGHLY recommend UCLA. They respected all of my wishes - no interns, hardly anyone in the room except for one nurse, my doula, Dr.Crane and my hubby.
