Preschooler and WII

My 5yr old daughter got the World of Zoo for Christmas and she loves it. It's all about taking care of animals and basically all you do is point, click and drag. You might want to rent it one time before you buy it. It cost almost 50 bucks. We love it!!!!

Wii Fit and Wii Resort has games anyone can play - even a little one! Our family has had a blast with them and my neice (who just turned 3) LOVES the Wii Fit games.

My daughter is almost 4, and she LOVES the Learning With the PooYoos - Episode 1 game. It is the only Wii game made specifically for ages 3-6 & no reading is required. It helps them learn how to use the remote. There are 2 levels of difficulty. In the easiest one, they just have to press the button that corresponds with the right answer on the screen. In the harder level, they learn to point & click on the answer on the screen.

The game is WiiWare -- you must have your Wii connected to the Internet in order to download it. It's only $5 and it is saved to your Wii system. No disc to keep up with, it's just added to your channels.

My daughter loves to watch other games, like Mario Party, Super Mario Bros, and Wii Fit Plus. She really wants to play the Wii Fit Plus, but she just isn't old enough to understand the balance concepts yet. With the PooYoos she can play all by herself like a big girl! :)

My children are 8, 6, and 2 and my 2 year old just likes to stand in front of the TV with the extra nunchuk and shake it like we are with the other remote so I don't have any personal experience with a 3 year old playing the games. My neighbors 3 year old loves the Lego Star Wars game. There is a Crayola game where they get to color different things on the screen by picking a color and then pointing to the space they want to color. We have the Outdoor Challenge game which might be the one with the obstacle courses that you are thinking of. He probably could do that one. The only catch might be that when he is running or jumping on the mat you have to stay on the right spots on the mat to control it and running in one place can be hard at that age.

My friends little boy who started using the Wii at 3 likes the Wii Fit. He would come home from preschool and start playing. Just a thought. Good luck and God Bless.

I believe the game you are referring to is Outdoor Adventure.? It is a ton of fun. My 4 yr old can do most of them on his own. He is a good sport and doesn't mind if he doesn't "win". It took him a bit (he was 3 when we got it) to get a hang of some of the events. WarioWare is also a good one!!! Wii Fit/Wii Resort... all wonderful choices. And who can't live without MarioKart! We picked up Pajama Sam just for him. Saw it at BestBuy for $20! You're son will probably need a little guidance, but it is a fun game for you to do together! Good Luck in your search!

My son is 3 and loves our wii. He likes an sport's games, we can usually show him what to do once and he picks it up pretty easy after that if he doesn't figure it out on his own first. He also really likes Mario Kart, mamco museum remix (which is just a bunch of pacman games and some other atari games)and sports resort. He been plaing for awhile now it's absolutely amazing so of the games he can do that we thought he wouldn't be able to for awhile. Hope this helps just a few my preschooler likes.

We got an m and m game that my 3 year old can play.

well my daughter is 3 also and she can mainly do the wii fit ones I have both and the newer one has the obstacle course and a bike riding one and a running one.

We have Raving Rabbits (the one you use the Wii Balance Board with) and my older daughter can play it. Our younger daughter wants to, but she's very small and the balance board doesn't register her. You might make sure that your son is big enough that the board will register his weight. (My older daughter is 4 now, but we got it when she was 3 and she really likes it.)

We have found "Jump Start Pet Rescue" is a great preschool game that he should be able to play and learn his ABC's. It has no reading a Dog gives you the instructions, it is a great game and you can find it in most of the stores. We also have "Cosmic Family" which is really a cute game that is designed for kids 4 years old and has an elephant that gives you instructions. I don't think you can find it in the store you will have to look on line (ebay). My 4 year old has also, after alot of practice, gotten really good at bowling & tennis which is really good for their hand eye coordination so have him keep trying. There are games out there for their age you just usually have to find them on line.

My son turns 3 in a couple weeks and he loves Mario Kart, Wii sports, and the Go Diego Go games (we have Dinosaur rescue, but I think they're all pretty similar, same with Dora). We have the driving wheel and sports attachments too, but they seem to work better without them.

We have found a few games our just 3 year old loves. One is Carnival Games. Some are a bit too much for him, but most just involve a throwing motion. He also likes Just Dance. Mostly he likes the music, but he gives it a good shot and i play too and get some movement in too! Some of the Mario Party mini-games are simple enough for him to play. He likes Monster Jam too. The Freestyle portion is all about running over stuff. Of course, he is in monster truck mode right now! There are also some games on Playground he can do. The suggestion about renting before you buy is a great one. We try to do that. Good luck and have fun!
