My daughter is currently two years old and is well potty trained and in daycare. For some reason for the past week or two she's been going on herself. She doesn't tell me anymore that she has to go to the potty. Has anyone gone through this? I spoke with the teacher and she told me that she does the same thing to her and she doesn't understand why all of a sudden she goes from being fully potty trained to going on herself. No matter how many times i tell her that you go in the potty she continues to go on herself. I NEED SOME ADVICE MOMS!

What can I do next?

R.,

You may want to take her to her doctor, she may have a UTI and you may not know it.

my oldest son did that, but it was regression. i was going thru a divorce and his father wasn't bothering to see him at all(he's a loser). young children show stress by regressing. has there been a change in the household, or maybe something going on at the daycare she's not telling you.

what changes have been made recently? Moved, siblings, family, pets, etc. Look at what has been going on. Or maybe she just needs some extra mom time. I wouldn't make a big deal out of it, just have her help clean it up, I'm sure it may pass. but if it does continue and you can't find a trigger a trip to the Dr may be needed.

You could try asking your daughter. My son did this (he's 2 1/2), but only in school and his teachers or I couldn't figure it out. Finally, I asked my son and he told me he was afraid, so we went to the bathroom and asked him there what he was afraid off and he pointed to the plunger. We moved the plunger and he was back to his old self. Good luck.
