We have used the one in Plano since my twins were 1 month old. I think they do a nice job, but they are certainly not the same as an independent professional photographer. You need to figure out was is more important, price or the pics themselves. Their photographers are trained, but to me they are not "professionals". We've looked at the photos afterward and seen grandma in a shadow...and not real excited about the placement of people. You have to select the pics after your session (I think that is typical of those type of studios). The more you buy, the cheaper it gets. It can get confusing on your first visit as they rattle off all the pricing as you sit there and try to keep your kids busy while you are looking at pics. The review process can take a long time. We've bought a ton of pics from them, so we've gotten the CD for free. They told us (maybe I asked) that the CD is encrypted - so you can't print out high quality pics. However, it does allow you to come back to get reprints made at their studios. Otherwise, your pics will be gone if you don't have the CD. When you reprint from a CD...the pricing starts all over, even if you bought a ton from them in the original session (which I think bites). I like how the photos are available in 30 minutes.
Its a nice open atmosphere, and I think they can do a nice job with kids.
I think the 9.99 package is great. With no sitting fees, regardless of the number of people in your pic, I think it can be a great place to get "decent" pics done on a frequent basis.
If you want high quality CD pics, then I would shop around. There are some independent photographers who are extremely reasonable and give you the pics on the CD.
If you plan on going there near the holidays (when everyone else is doing their xmas postcard photos)...then you need to call ahead and make an appointment.
