1 Year Old Pics

I think Kiddie Kandids does a great job and they aren't too expensive, plus you get the pics that day and they let you do outfit changes and different backgrounds. Kids do grow up tooooo fast!!! Mine is already 2 and I feel like he was a newborn just the other day :)

I HIGHLY recommend Innovation Portraits in Plano off Park and the Tollway @ The Target shopping Center. They did an AWESOME and they have great packages.

I recommend Mishelle Schmidt Photography. She took my son's newborn pictures and 1 yr. old pics and they turned out wonderful!! The prices are very reasonable and she will go just about anywhere to take them. She lives in Dallas and took my son's newborn at her house (she has a studio there) and she took his year old pics at the Dallas Arboretum -- those were great especially with all of the flowers in bloom! Natalie Ann Photography took pictures of my little guy. She did a great job. For $100 you get an hour with her and you own the CD to print any pictures you want. She did an amazing job. Check out her website - www.natalieannphotography.com

We had picts of our 1 year old taken at JC Penny and my coworker had her one year old picts taken at sears. Both sets of pictures turned out great and they are very reasonably priced. Especially if you can find a coupon first.

Hey L.! I did my daughters 2yo pics at Portrait Innovations. They were great! We were in and out in about 1 hour 20 minutes, that was with 3 outfit changes and going through 80 pics and choosing what I wanted and walking out the door with them. They have very cheap packages!! Our family LOVES Portrait Innovations! They're located right off the Tollway at Park, in the parking lot with Target (I believe it's the NE corner). There's no sitting fee, you can bring up to 3 clothing changes, and it's all done digitally so you pull it up RIGHT there and go through all your pics, then they print them on-site so you can pick them up within the hour.

They have an on-going special for $9.95: 8 sheets of your one favorite pose, and then of course any additional poses go up from there. We always have such a hard time narrowing it down because they do such an AMAZING job, there are always so many great ones!!

We just did my son's 1st year pics in June, and here's a tip: when you call to schedule the appointment, let them know you'd like to do a birthday cake picture. We bought a little one from Kroger, and put our son in his diaper, and then he devoured it in front of the camera, so we have pictures from his first finger dipped in the frosting, all the way until it was ALL over him!! :) It was wonderful; plus they have the "1" block he can sit on, etc. so you can get some classic poses too. They're wonderful with kids!!

Portrait Innovations is the best place ever. We took our son for Christmas last year, family pictures in April and 1 year photos last month. They are awesome and have great pricing. They will let you make as many outfit changes as you would like. They have locations in Plano, Highland Village, and Southlake. You can make your appt (which I highly recommend) up to 2 weeks in advance.

Wherever you go, I would go somewhere that has a digital camera. I have gone to Sears and Kiddie Kandids, both digital, and it is so nice to be able to zoom in and out depending on what you want. It's the worst to have a picture that is almost perfect except it's way off center or too far away. Sears is less expensive than Kiddie Kandids, and they always have coupons floating around in magazines or online for a free sitting fee and sheet. You can do a few outfit changes at either place, also. Good luck!

the people at sears portrait studio in collin creek mall are awesome too - plus you can buy the cd of all the pictures and enhanced pictures and they give you the copyrights

I've done all of my son's portraits at JCPenney. I joined the Portrait Club, so there's no sitting fee and I always get coupons. Due to our moves, we've been to JCP studios in several states, but the one at Stonebriar is the best we've found. They always take their time with us and although we've never had clothing changes, others have and it doesn't seem to be a problem. I've been very happy with the results!

You should try LMLDphotography. It's a Mother/daughter owned company. Prices are great and we always go above and beyond to make sure you get exactly what you want.

I know that ideally you would like to go to a studio but I have the BEST reference for you! His name is Jeff Mlak and his work is WONDERFUL! He has done my first baby shower and both of my daughters birthdays. He is also doing 3 more parties for us coming up. And I will be the first to tell you that his prices are beyond reasonable. I just had my son's 1 year old pictures taken last week at Kiddie Kandids. I went to the Frisco location inside Stonebriar and had a wonderful experience. I had called to make an appoinment and asked them if they did anything fun for first bday pictures...we did several poses and you can change outfits and backgrounds and then for the last part we did the fun birthday pic's. I took a birthday cake and a throw away table cloth, stripped him down to his diaper and took pictures while he played with his cake...they are soooo cute. I have several friends whose son's are turning one shortly and they are going to do the same thing. I was so happy with them. Good luck with your decision...it's a fun experience.

Brandi at b4photography is amazing! She is very sweet and patient. Our 7 month photos could not have turned out any better! She came to our house or will do them in her home studio. The photos at our home look like they were taken in a studio. We have gone to other studios and Brandi's photos were by far a better value and by far better photos!

I go to Portrait Innovations in Plano. For 9.99 I get a ton of pictures of one sitting. Their cameras are handheld so they work with the kids and don't force the kids to be in one spot. You can change clothes several times. I bring my own props and they work with that. (I always take things from their birthday parties so we can document what the party theme was.) I only get the special and most times they are good with that. What I like best, besides the price, is you get the pictures within 20 minutes of making your final decision. One trip and you've got it all!

Contact B4 Photography, Brandi, go to memeber perks she has a coupon on there. She does excellent pictures. WAHM with kids of her own, and she is very patient. She makes it session its own. She has a myspace under the name of b4photography. She goes on location and shots at the Dallas Arboritum. She did pics of my 4 yr old about a month ago, and they are priceless. Hi, there is a new place called portrait innovations in Highland Village. I'm not sure where else they have stores but if you check the website there is a list of stores in the area. They have a great deal for 10 dollars you get a whole package with any pose you want. They also allow clothes changes and they hand hold the cameras unlike all the other studios. The pictures my sister had done were beautiful!
