Can anyone please recommend a pediatrician in the Rego Park/Forest Hills area of New York. My FIRST baby is due in Feb 2010, and I need to find a doctor soon.

Hi L.,
I hope this helps. I live in Forest Hills but my daughter's pediatrician is in NYC. He has an office on 68th and Madison and 20th Street and 1st Avenue. He was recommended by my ob/gyn and we really like him. He and his father share the practice and their specialty is allergies. I don't know if it's hard for you to commute to the city...but the has 8am appts. at his 68th Street office. I highly recommend him.

There is a Forest Hills parents listserve for parents who live in or near Forest Hills, you should get on it if you haven't already (you have to be referred by someone already on it in order to keep out the spammers, you can send me your email address and I will forward it to the moderator). Someone posted today that they are giving away a free Medela breast pump and pack n play! Most in Forest Hills go to FH pediatrics, some love it, some hate it, there's been a lot of discussion about it on the listserve. We go to Dr. Beer there. I like him but not the office staff. Others have recommended Dr. Grocs on Metropolitan.

We use Metro Pediatrics on 63rd Drive in Rego Park. The # is ###-###-####. It's right behind the Sears on Queens Blvd, near the big center they are building. The practice has two doctors - Thomas Bloom and Valerie Costin - we see both of them and both very good with the kids. Only trouble is that parking can be tricky as it is near an elementary school and lots of stores... Good luck.

We use Forest Hills Pediatrics -- 108-48 70th Rd, ###-###-#### -- and are very happy. It's a group practice. We particularly like Drs. Rivkin and Quinn, but they're all good.

Good luck!

We go to A to Z Pediatrics in Forest Hills, ###-###-#### its right next to Stirling Bank. Our daughter was born in April 2010 our OB/GYN recommended Dr. Maya Golbraykh, the office is clean, kid friendly. She is very gentle with my daughter, very knowledgeable. The Doctor has 2 small children of her own so she can relate. We like it also because its open Sundays.
