Hi, we are new to the area and are looking for some recommendations for a pediatrician. Would prefer the Libertyville/Mundelein/Vernon Hills area but we are willing to drive for top quality care. We are not familiar with the hospitals in the area and would prefer the Dr. to be associated with a reputable hospital. Some of the best doctors we had in our last location were referred to us by friends and I was hoping someone could provide some help. Thanks!

I have a 3 and 1 year old. I was recommended by someone else to this practice when I had my first since I was not knowledgeable about Peds.
Anyway - we've been going to Vernon Hills Peds since both were born. Dr. Brian Sapp - we love him!
Good luck!

We have been using Pediatric Partners very happily for 10 years. They have offices in both Vernon Hills and Highland Park. We have seen all the docs at on time or another and have never been disappointed.

Willow Oak Pediatrics... if you google them, they have a website. They have an office in Libertyville (across from Cuneo) and one in Antioch. I have nothing but good things to say about them. Dr. Fisher, the senior pediatrician in the practice, used to be a neonatologist on staff at Children's Memorial. He, often, will follow up with phone calls if you have brought your child in for a sick visit. They have sick hours in the morning, have one late night a week at both offices and have office hours on Saturdays.

Hi KB - I love our pediatrician! She is part of Advocate Medical Group, affiliated with Lutheran General Hospital, which is excellent. My daughter had severe colic when she was born and Dr. Deborah Ehrlich was there for us at any time, was patient and extremely willing to help us get through it. She was the only one that recognized our daughter had GERD and with her insight of putting rice cereal in her formula, it helped our baby get better and put the colic to rest. They have offices in Libertyville and Deerfield. Look them up on advocate.com for the Libertyville office. HOpe this helps!

My son has been seeing Dr. Lisa Tybor with ENH. They are affiliated with Highland Park Hospital. She was referred to me by my ob/gyn (it's where his kids go!) They have clinic hours available 7 days a week, if you can't get the appt. time you need. ALL of the doctors in the practice have been wonderful. I have even had to call the on-call dr. late at night and am always treated professionally, friendly, and with great quality care.

We're with Vernon Hills Pediatrics and our primary pediatrician is Sharon Libit. Her husband is also there and all the doctors we've seen are very good. My son, who is now 3, had some emergency situations and they were always available for help. They are on the old-fashioned side, but very aware of modern techniques and always listen to my concerns.
They are associated with Lake Forest Hospital which is, in my opinion, the best hospital around. They've got offices in Vernon Hills and Gurnee.
Scheduling is always easy and the wait-time at the office and in the room are extremely minimal...which I appreciate very much!!

Good luck!

We love Lake Forest Peds. We hardly EVER wait and they get you in 7 days a week. I don't think they ever close. We see Dr. Krissberg mostly but we have seen a few others. The only thing you may not like is the size of the practice. It doesn't bother us but if you are someone who likes to see the same person each and every time it may bother you. They also have a program for immunizations if your ins. doesn't cover it. It costs 16 per shot instead of going to the Health Dept.

Lake Forest Pediatrics is awesome! They have an office that is at the edge of Vernon Hills/Mundelein...just west of the mall. They also are in Lindenhurst, Lake Forest, etc. They have 7 day care which is wonderful!! I would call and get in with whoever you can. We see Dr. Gadek. She is normally booked and not taking new clients; however I would get into the practice and then start seeing whoever you want after you are in! They are fantastic.

I go to Pediatric Partners, in the Lake Forest Hospital building on the corner of Butterfield and Rt 60. They have been amazing, I almost never wait for an appointment, all the doctors on staff are so friendly, and the nurses are great too. They've squeezed me in at 4:45 on a Friday so many times. They are affiliated with Lake Forest and Highland Park Hospitals, and have Saturday hours too.

www.pediatricpartnerssc.com All the doctors are great, but my favorite is Dr. Mukrhejee (she's on maternity leave right now).

I also LOVE Dr. Elvove. He doesn't go right to drug to cure everything. He listens, asks questions, and has a more natural approach to illness. He is also not quick to give shots and has the info and knowledge of why.

Hi there! I have 3 boys, ages 5, 3 and 14 months. We used to use Lake Forest Pediatrics; although they were very good their practice was huge and had a ton of doctors. We wanted something a little smaller so that we could get to know the doctors better and they could get to know the children better also. So, when I deliverd my youngest, we switched to Vernon Hills Pediatrics. They have an office in Vernon Hills and also in Gurnee. The doctors are super nice, my favorite is Dr. Brian Sapp. They are part of Lake Forest Hospital, which I also feel is one of the best hospitals in the area.
Whenever the kids are sick they always get them in right away, I never have to wait a long time or go to the acute care center and the drs are also quick to respond if you have them paged after hours.

We've been going to Lake Shore Peds for 12 years. We started out at the Libertyville office and now visits their Barrington office. They are associated with a number of respectable hospitals, including I believe Children's Memorial--check into this because it may have changed but my daughter was sent there after she was born.
