Hello ladies,
Does anybody take the kiddos to Dr Thai Hoang on Parkwood (suite 306)? He is a ped and I am considering changing mine. I am located in Frisco. Other suggestions are welcome. Besides the competency I am looking for some doctor that talks to the kids, that goes trough what they are doing in the check up time, etc.
I appreciate your time!
You ladies are great! Thank you for all the information about Dr Thai.

Hi, I have used Dr Thai since my son was born over 3 years ago. I love him! He is patient with questions and took care of me too when I was sobing in his office due to lack of sleep. He is caring and his staff is nice. He seems to have high nurse turnover, over 3 years. My favorite nurse is no longer there, but Randy is very good with my 3 year old and my 14 year old. The front desk girl is very nice and always remembers my sons names. He also has a nurse practitioner named Michelle that helps him out. This is nice at times, because they can see more patients, but I like Dr Thai. He has been there since, literally, since the day my son was born and I do not want anyone else to see him. He is a a little hard to schedule with because he is so very busy, but does have sick child hours on Saturday mornings, which is nice. Luckily my kids don't sick very often but we did have to scheduled his 3 year old check up about 6 weeks out.

Yes, I take my children to Dr. Thai and love him. He is very good w/ the kids and tells me what he is doing every step of the way. I trust him and is staff. I have a 6 yr old little girl and a 2.5 yr old little boy. Neither of them are scared to go to the doctor. They trust him too.
I've taken my son to Dr. Thai since he was 2 weeks old (he came earlier than expected and I hadn't taken care of the ped before delivery so we had someone else at the hospital). I LOVE Dr. Thai and his staff. They were referred to me by their receptionist Lydia who is a good friend of mine. I'm also friends with one of the nurses. They are very welcoming and talk you through everything. I've never had a problem getting an appointment either. I've had some horrible peds before with my daughter and I can tell you I've never been happier!
I don't know anything on the doctor that you mentioned but I do have a referral for an excellent pediatrician. His name is Iresh Kumar, MD, FAAP. He is located @ 7589 Preston Rd., Ste. #600, Frisco, TX 75034. Phone ####-###-####. I have two sons as well that I take to him and my sister takes her daughter to him. Takes the time needed. You don't feel like a number or "next".
I use Dr. Thai for my 2 boys for a year. He is our 3rd pediatrician, so I have a little experience with this. I like Dr. Thai, Dr. Wakefield, his nurse practitioner and staff. Dr. Thai is great at explaining and listening. Sometimes I have waited a while during busy season. He is not quick to prescribe, but that doesn't mean he dismisses anything. He is good at listening to a mother's concerns, a rare quality!
He will meet with you to see if you like him.
Good luck!
I have gone to Dr. Thai for 4 years. We love him. I have a 6 year old and 2 year old twins. He is very calm and explains everything to both the child and adult. He also listens to your concerns about shots, medicines and work with you to help your child. He also has a PA, Michelle who is wonderful as well. His office is moving to a brand new location on Legacy (behind Baylor). You might ask about it....last time I heard he was going to have a sick and well waiting room.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
I have taken my two girls to Dr. Thai (That's what he goes by)since before my youngest was born (she's 2 now). We LOVE Dr. Thai and his Nurse Practitioner, Michelle & the nurses. He is great at explaining what he is doing & why. He always errs on the side of caution. He is also VERY patient with the kids, probably because he has 3 little girls of his own. I have never had any complaints about him or his staff. We have recommended him to several friends who all are happy with their choice.

I have used Dr. Thai for 5 years now, back then, he was the only Dr in/on his practice (Stonebriar Pediatrics), now he has added two more Dr.s to his practice. I will have to admit, though, as much as my children and I do very, very much LOVE him; he himself, is very, very hard to get in to see now. His practice has grown, it seems, just about everyone in Frisco, has heard of him, and is going to see him, so be aware that if you want to see him in particular, call very well in advance, especially for well child visits, they book up around 6 to 8 months in advance. I LOVE Dr. Thai, he seems to favor the wait it out and see what it really is approach, instead of just getting you in and out of there with a prescription in hand. He takes the time, patiently, to explain FULLY, what is wrong, and all the possibilities to respond to the problem. He is a wonderful, caring Dr, who is getting REALLY, REALLY popular in a now big city.
Good Luck, and let us know who you decided on,
Thanks;
