We go to Dr. Clive Daniels (he's in the same office as Dr. Mann, who some moms have mentioned already). He's always very patient and answers our questions without being in a rush. The office staff and nurses there are really nice too. And I've always been very pleased when I just needed to call a nurse with questions -- they NEVER sound like I'm asking something dumb (which I probably am!).

Dr. Daniels is "not too" young or old, which was important to me as I didn't want to have to change doctors due to retirement or feel like I was talking to someone who could be my own child!

We use Dr. Kerstin Archer of Mansfield Pediatrics. She is great with my kids. Even my oldest who hates doctors does not mind going to see her. Dr. Archer takes her time with the kids. I remember when we first met her, my now 16 year old had to do a report on a childhood disease and Dr. Archer scheduled an appointment with her for 6 pm the following evening to discuss the disease with Megan. She showed up armed with pamplets and a poster for Megan to use. Needless to say, I was highly impressed!

I highly recommend Dr. Tomberlin in Mansfield. She is off of Debbie Lane, and I think her first name is Julie (can't remember). She is my twins' pediatrician, and she does a great job. The wait isn't always short, but she always makes me and the kids feel very important when she's meeting with us.

Dr. Julie Tomberlin is who we have used for 4 years now. She is amazing and very polite. She takes the time to completely answer all your questions and she is never standing with her hand on the door to get out of the exam room. I could not ask for a better doctor for my kids. She is very young and adores children and gets down on their level and plays doctor instead of intimidating them being a doctor. She will play toys with them on the floor and loves to hug and kiss the kids every time we are there. I will tell you that you have to expect to be there for a while because she takes her time with every patient if the patient and the parents need the time with her. Her office staff and nurses are great as well.

Her office number is ###-###-#### and you can ask to talk to Karen and tell her that you were recommended by K. Wood if that is who you choose to use to get in as a patient.

Good Luck! If you choose her you will love her for your kids.

I use Dr. Wayne. He's in the same office with Dr. Tomberlin. She's great as well. We've seen her a few times when Dr. Wayne was out.

I used to use Dr. Sampson. I really liked her. The reason I quit going to her was her partner, Dr. Archer. On a couple of rare occasions when our daughter got sick and Dr. Archer was on call (or one time when Sampson was on vacation), Archer was extremely rude and condescending. She acted like our questions and concerns weren't important (I guess since we weren't HER patients). When we had to see her because Sampson was out of town, I went in with a really sick child and I told her I though she had Hand, Foot, and Mouth disease, even though some of the symptoms weren't right on the money. She told me (before even looking at my daughter) that it couldn't be that because she didn't have the rash on her hands. Well, after checking her out she conceeding, grudgingly, that I was right. While I do recommend Dr. Sampson, I would beware of her partner. I know use Dr. Tomberlin. Yes, we do have to wait sometimes, but if you call ahead, they'll tell you if she's running behind. The only thing is that I think she only takes newborns as new patients. I did like her partner, Dr. Wayne, the one time I saw him, just not as well as Tomberlin. My 3 year old will ASK to go see Dr. Tomberlin if she gets a boo-boo or a cough. She loves her! Good luck!

Hi A.. I have been a pediatric intensive care nurse for about 5 years. I only mention this because I work with many Dr's and feel I am a very good judge of how they practice. We use Dr. Sampson in Mansfield, she is the partner of Dr. Archer. She is wonderful, very caring and detail oriented. She is also part of the Cook Children's Physicians Network (the only hospital I would take my child to.) I also know many other people who are just as pleased with her. Dr. Tomberlan is a wonderful Dr, however, I know many people who have left her practice because she is very difficult to get in to see, and they were waiting 2-3 hrs for every appointment. Dr. Mann is a great pedi as well, and has been around for a long time (he was my pediatrician and I am almost 29). If you want a pedi long term - retirement might be a question. I hope this helps!
