We use www.dynowatt.com They guarentee cheaper rates. They will only take you if you have good credit...it's how they keep their rates low. Good Luck!
I need to find a new electric company. I live in the Ft. Worth area and had switched from TXU to Gexa some time ago. At the time, Gexa had the cheapest rates. Now I am paying 13.61 kWh. Yesterday I recieved a 500.00 + bill and we cannot afford it. Has anyone found anything better? I have gone to the Power To Choose website. I thought maybe some of you had already discovered something good...I do know there are some listed around 10 kWh which is a bit of a difference than the 13.61 I am being charged.
I would appreciate all the input I can get. Thanks.
L.
Thank you for all the input. My husband and I are still researching. We printed out the power-to-choose chart but the rates have risen since the chart was made out. Most seem to be 11.0 and up...or a month to month rate cheaper but I bet once you switch, they raise the rates. If anyone has just recently changed as of a week ago, I would like to know what you were told. Thanks again, L.

I just switched from Direct Energy to Ignite with Stream Energy and if I had switched earlier I would already be saving. This last month I would have saved over $150.00. Their price is .1070 cents per killowatt hour. You can go to this link and sign up http://www.gliptack.igniteinc.biz.
I couldn't get it to go directly to the link so you will have to type it in. The special for 6 months is .1070 and there is no charge for switching or for switching back.

Please check out the following website
If you lock in for one year, I believe the rate is 10.9 per kwh. You will also recieve a certificate for a 2-night hotel stay and if you can sign up 5 people you will recieve a free cruise for 2.

My brother, Ian R. Parkins, is an enegry broker. He saved us tons of money. He has many outlets for electricity. Give him a call. There is no cost for him to shop around for you.

L.,
We live in Euless and use Commerce Enery on their variable rate plan which so far has us averaging between 10-11.1per KWh. We have a 3 bedroom home and our bill works out around $140/mnth. Hope that helps.

Yes, give me your phone number and I can have someone contact you. It is only 10.9 I believe. I got out of TXU a long time ago. But went to Shine On or Texas Power which is still cheaper but Ambit is even cheaper. I can have Angela call you if you give me her number. She is in a MLM with it and will get some cut when you sign up under her. Thanks, evenually I want to do it too. G. W
We have a plan called the "Dream Deal Plan". You are locked in for only 6 months and it is 10.7c.
I would LOVE to have you as a customer and you would be supporting a mom, as oppose to a big electric company CEOs :)
Feel free to check my website out. You can go to energy and click on energy comparison rate.
HTH and GL!
We use Stream Electricity and have found them to be one of the most best priced ones in the area. There are choices of locking in at a rate and going month to month. Either way the rates are good as I am sure you saw on the powertochose.com website. We liked our rates so much we ended up signing up as distributor with Ignite. Please take a moment to check out website at www.less4energy.com I think you will be pleased with the service.
Hi L.,
I use Ignite that is powered by Stream Energy. I lock in for a year at 11.44 Kwh. You can lock in for less know. It is around 10.7 Kwh. Go to http://www.igniteinc.com Good luck.
Wow I analysed every company about 1 year ago to get out of paying TXU the ones showing the lowest costs I considered greatly...The main problem was getting that average billing which has allowed us to budget and there were also underlying costs in those lower advertised prices - I did some investigating further...we've ended up with the Freedom plan with TXU...it average about 13 but will go lower when rates go lower-haha! Two things to consider are a/c age and refrigerator age - also buy the fluorescent light bulbs 10-15 watt in bright white from home depot - this has lowered our monthly bill 20-30 dollars per month after initially paying a few dollars more. I lease apartments and many of the tenants are using Green Mountain I have not checked them out! Good Hunting. L.
Hi L.,
My friend recently got me to change to Ambit Energy. So far the bill has been less. If you would like the contact info for my consultant, I would be glad to share that with you. Her name is L. as well and she will give you a complete rundown of the service. I have been pleased so far and my best friend also switched and said her bill was lower as well. You also earn points that give your rewards.
If you go online, L. consult number is C###-###-####. She and her husband, Marc have done it together. Please contact me if you would like her number.
Good Luck

You can go to www.powertochoose.org and compare the rates for the companies available in your area. You just put in your zip code and it should give you a list and all of their rates. Be very careful to read all the terms of service and fee schedules as some of them are fixed, some are variable and some have contract lengths with pricey cancellation fees. It's great that you're shopping around. If we all did that, the companies' rates would be more competitive.
L.,
I live in Arlington and have Reliant and pay 12.4 but my comtract just ended and recvd a mailing from Direct Energy for 11.4 so I am moving to them because Reliant only has a flex plan right now so call Direct or look online at power to choose.com or .org you can view all the prices in our area I feel you on the price my electric bill this month is 495.00. Good Luck
Wow,13.61 is as close as any other company out there. There is a web site that compares these rates, but the only thing that saves us is averaging. I think it's time we all started thinking alternative energy.
