I love the seriousness of some questions - really. It can open my eyes but also drain my brain. But, it's Friday and I'm already ready to call it a day.

My daughter asked me last week:
Her "did you cry when you met daddy"
me: "no, I was only 12" (that can be explained in another post - we haven't been together since we were 12, thank goodness)
her: "did you cry when you married him?"
me: "Yes, because it was a happy day"
Her: "but then you got used to him , right?"

Yup - she summed it up pretty well.

How do your kids ask questions about your relationships with your husband/SO?

What can I do next?

HOW CUTE, or should I say wise?
lol.
Yes, my daughter has ask me how me and my husband meet.
Only that we meet in a no so typical way.
I was working 6 days at week in a hotel, and 2 nights at a disco (dance club).
I don't feel appropiated to tell her that he bought me a whole bottle, and that what he first like about me wasn't my intelect and what I first like about him was his bad a## look (he is not but he looked like one, lol).
So we just say we meet at my day time job, lol.
Perhaps one day when I am old and I am allow to say what ever I want =*)

That's adorable.
My 4 yr old told me daddy is your husband but he's my sweet snuggie wuggy. She loves to nap all snuggled up with him and was laying her claim. Silly girl.

I love kid questions.

looking at wedding pictures my son is questioning how old everyone is in the picture. So he asks where was I in that picture? I tell him he wasn't born yet - so he asks, "Oh, was I in your tummy?" Ugh, guess we will have to start that sex ed stuff sooner rather than later.

OH LOL @ 'but then you got used to him' ;)

They don't have questions, but OMG they give us grief for stealing a kiss once in a while!! I'll be cooking and my husband will come in and give me a smooch, then keep going... the girls drop what they're doing and start in on the 'AWWWWW!! SMOOOOOCHIES!! They're in LOOOOOOOVE!' and of course 'First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes mom and daddy with a baby carriage'... My word, they're ruthless! Let me kiss my husband in peace!! ;)

When I talk about my wedding day or he sees a picture, my son asks me
"Was I there mommy?"

"No honey. You weren't born yet.".

He cried. Now I just say "Yes, honey. You were there.". hahaha.

When my son was around 8, he was asking where we met and I told him we met in college. And he asked if Dad came up to me while I was at my locker (as shown in lots of Disney/Nick shows) and I laughed and said no that we didn't have lockers in college. So then, after a brief pause, my son said in a very suave voice... "Oh, it was at your cubbie..."

I met my husband when I was 12 too. I've been involved with him since 14. Lol talk about awkward. Trying to explain to our coming of age grown girl how mommy and daddy met and fell in love feels strange.

Only my oldest (a 9 yr old girl) has ever shown any interest in hearing about how we met, and about our wedding. She thinks it's crazy that we started dating at 18, but didn't get married until we were 25. She says she's going to get married at 18. LOL! Over my dead body!
