I can not fell the strings to the mirena, and havent for about a week now. My lower stomach has been hurting and i cant seem to get in contact with my docter. i have left messages but no reply. should i be worried or is it nothing?
okay so I'm bleeding now and the pain is still there. everything is closed till Monday :( Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I greatly appreciate it.....And yes people really do have to make sure they can still feel the strings to the mirena.
Ya it could be something..Call again or go to a non emergency clinic
People really try to reach up and feel the strings?!?
I have seen several commercials/articles talking about mirena troubles. These include:
Abscesses
Device migration
Embedment in the uterine wall
Uterine perforations
Intestinal perforations or obstruction
Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
Ectopic Pregnancy
I would go somewhere right away for evaluation. Like an Urgent Care or if they are closed, try the ER. I wouldn't wait until Monday. Good luck! :(
A lot of doctors had shorter hours on Wednesday and were of course closed yesterday for Thanksgiving. Call today and try to get in. In the meanwhile, abstain from intercourse until you know it's OK.
