You can get her a Nook gift card so that she can download the book she wants.
help! i know nothing about the nook - i have a kindle that was my aunt's first, she upgraded to the kindle fire so she gave me the kindle, but she still has all her books on it (and keeps adding more since they are on the same account) so i have NO experience in adding books- she's always done it!
can i get a book for my MIL and put it on her nook for christmas? i'd be happy to get it for her ...just have no clue where to start! going off to google now....
thanks for any tips you can provide!
ah-ha! thank you ladies, that's perfect. of course ;) i should have thought of a gift card! you guys rock!

My niece got a nook last year. I gave her a giftcard and print out of suggested books, that I thought she'd really like!
I agree to do a giftcard, way easier! I think even Barnes and Noble gift cards can be used on the Nook.
If you know what book, you can go on the Barnes & Noble website and have the book sent to her Nook. You'd need her user name, which she can give you (or you may also be able to just use her email address). My daughter has a Nook, and she goes on the B&N website all the time to send herself books. :)
I've got Nook for PC to read my books on my laptop. You can buy the books on B&N, and send them to her NOOK, or you can gift her B&N credit directly through her B&N account.
Hope this helps.
