Do you have one? Which do you like best? I'm really interested in one but can't decide which is better. PRO's and CON's?

Added: I have two young boys (4 and 1) and having books for them on it would be fun also. Which is best for that?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks Ladies, I still havent decided but it would be betweent he Kindle 2 and the Nook Color. I really like that the Nook Color has kids books on it which would be great for my young boys when we are on a trip so I dont have to pack all of their books.

Just my opinion, but I will never again purchase ANYTHING from Amazon (Kindle) due to Amazon's solicitation of the "how-to" guide for pedophiles. Yes, they FINALLY removed it from their website, but they have lost me as a customer forever.

I am a Kindle fan all the way. I did research on the Nook vs the Kindle before I made my purchase. I went with the Kindle because Amazon has more books available and it has been around for a while. The nook is newer and may still have some bugs that need to be worked out.

I LOVE my Kindle (in fact I asked this question prior to buying mine so you can probably look at the responses I received, too). My Mom LOVES her Nook. I already had an Amazon account so that was a pro for me - my Mom lives 2 blks away from a B&N so that was a pro for her. I know that you can share "accounts" with a Nook and potentially share books, but I was never going to use that feature. I like that I can download books while I am out of the country so that was a pro for me. The book prices are about the same for both - I'll pay less for one and more for another than my Mom so it works out to be about the same money. I haven't tried to load like books from the library so I don't know how that (or even IF) works. I think that Amazon does offer alot of "deals" on books for free or less than $1.00 - B&N probably does the same but my Mom only looks for new releases so she hasn't said how good of deals there are. I'll bet over 1/2 of my books were free :) I think it really is a personal preference, but, if you have an Amazon acct and/or are familiar with how it works, then you would probably feel more comfortable with the Kindle vs if you live near a B&N (and can use the in store free reading option) then maybe the Nook would be for you.

Good luck!

I love my kindle!! Absoutly love it.
I got it right before I had my second baby and it is my favorite thing right now. The charge lasts forever and downloading books is so easy. I dont know if the nook has a backlight so you can read it without a lamp on during the night I would say thats the only con.
My hubby accidentally just broke mine yesterday morning, I called the number on the instruction manuel and no questions asked it was replaced and I actually received it this morning.
I am ordering a cover right now so that doesnt happen again so I would suggest a cover for it.

I just asked this question not too long ago! After lots and lots of research, I decided on the Nook Color. We can't afford it right now, but I'm saving up!

Don't know much about Nook.
