Hi fellow moms,
I am hosting x-mas this year for my family. They usually serve prime rib. I have no idea where to find a butcher that has yummy prime rib and other beef products. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in the Streamwood area and would not mind a bit of a drive for some really tasty meats. Thanks for your help.
I can also vouch for Ascot meats in Mt. Prospect and Butcher on the Block in Lake in the Hills. We have bought all kinds of meat from both places and have always been extremely happy!

I highly recommend Ream's Market in Elburn Illinois - we buy either the tenderloin or the standing rib roast and both are fantastic. Now it is a Hike. You will need to place an order so that it is ready for pick up on Christmas Eve or the day before
Also there is one in Elk Grove Village that had FANTASTIC meat too. Not sure if they are still there but it would be much closer for you. It is at the corner of Route 72 and Arlington Heights road - next to Jarosch bakery. I thought it was called Ascot's meats but I could be wrong. I hope it helps!

I use Ascot meat market for all my holidays.They are located on Wolf Road and Camp McDonald in Mt. Prospect.Their quality is excellent.I have never been disappointed.They even have great cooking ideas.

We actually had prime rib last year for our New Years Eve party with some of our friends. We got it at Butcher on the Block in Lake in the Hills. Actually we buy all of our meat there. The butcher is very friendly and is always willing to get you anything you are looking for.
