I am looking for daycare around my home for my 15month old, with whom I have been staying home. I am terrified, so any good suggestions would really be appreciated. I live in Jeffersontown in Louisville (Hurstbourne and Six Mile Lane), but will probably be working downtown, so close to either would be fine. Please help!!!!

I put my son in Kids Kingdom II on six mile it was the worst place. stay clear of that place. My I had to drag my son to go in my other daycare closed and I didn't take him with me when we visited. I recommend taking your child with you on any visits.

Hi A.,
My name is J. and I also have a 15 month old. I just recently found a lady to watch her in the home. I am new to the area and would love to meet some people with kids the same age. If you are interested, our number is ###-###-####. I found the childcare lady in the southeast outlook newspaper.
Thanks,
J.

There is a great place called Quala Care in Jeffersontown on Bluebird Lane. John Savage and his wife Teresa run the daycare, preschool up to high school. My nephew started at 2 1/2 and graduated high school. Wonderful education. Their phone number is ###-###-####. Tell them that RJ sent you. They have known him forever.

I have heard good things about Bright Expectations on Hurstbourne Pkwy. I had a good friend who's children went there, Rachel and Shelly Gary, and what I really liked was the security.

A.,
I understand how you feel. I stayed at home with my little girl, who is also fifteen months, a little over nine months and I cried every day just thinking about the daycare thing. However, She loves it. I researched and searched for where I was going to put her for about two months. You can go to a site on the interent where they give you ratings on childcare, but I didnt only go by that. I went to look at a few places and then made my decision. I cant think of anything right around you, but there is one downtown called Childrens Choice, I think that is the name, it is supposed to be wonderfull. I pass it every morning. Its big and has a nice play area for the kids. My daughter goes to Playworld. It is more then likely a little out of your way, but i love it. I am determining where to move based on how long it will take me to get her there. Its clean and the teachers are great. Hope this helps a little.
