J., I would like to respond to you, but would like to do so privately. Would you mind giving me your email address and I would email you that way?
Thank you,
Have you ever watched the show "Starting Over"? I am a Life Coach just like on the show and I am working on getting more certification. I need a person to work with AT NO CHARGE for 12 sessions/weeks. This person will be willing to change his/her life, be recorded for my certification purpose only and do the homework I assign (Life Changing homework!). If you are seriously interested, please respond ASAP and tell me why you would like to do this with me. I will decide within 1 week. You can live anywhere b/c this will be done over the phone. Thank you!

Hello,
My husband needs a life coach. He has been at the same job for over 12 years-- he has done very well there, he runs the company, but, there is still a stigma attached to him as one being one of the warehouse workers. His boss, the owner of the company puts demands on him to work over 70 hours a week (on salary ofcourse) and to fill in for employees that are on vacation and those that can't keep up, while still taking care of all his duties. When he misses something, he gets a reaming- cussed at and insulted even in front of his staff at times.
I wish he would get another job, but we both have fears. He is the sole provider and we have 3 young children. I am not sure that this would be a project that you would be interested in, but since I saw your email, I thought I would give a call out.
Dear J.,
Eversince I resigned from my job in January, I have had ample time to reflect on my life...and I am definitely not happy with its path. I have gone through quite a bit in my 33 years. An abusive relationship with a man I loved too much, an eating disorder that took over my life for three years in college. 37 interviews after college before finally landing a job where I could afford my own insurance instead of relying on my parents. The birth of a son at 31 weeks...I took a four month maternity leave to make sure I could be with my son for two months in the NICU and for two months at home upon his discharge. A work situation where I was severely mistreated and underappreciated, but I still persevered knowing that I have two children who depend on me. Took time to care for my grandma and grandpa who were both struck with cancer so suddenly and who were then robbed of their lives just as quickly. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer- she was in remission for four years until this past week. A fiance who is at his wit's end with me because he is footing all the bills while I am currently unemployed. I have been trying to become gainfully employed since January and I have not had any luck.
Despite the challenges that I face, I am willing to take them head on because my kids deserve to have all of what they want and need. All of the events I described have made me realize that life is short and that I need to maximize the time that I have here on this earth. The problem is that I need a little bit of guidance to make sure I meet my goals. It took me six years to decide that I was no longer going to put up with my abusive work situation...yes I am struggling (had to file bankruptcy this year), but I know there are people out there who are worse off than me and that the situation could be far worse.
I am not asking for a medal of honor or for a pat on the back for my life experiences, but I would like the chance to turn my life around for the better. I want to be able to find a decent job, I want to depend less upon my fiance for being able to survive...I want to get over my weight and eating issues...and overall I want to be happy with who I am. If you gave me the opportunity to work with you, I would be willing to give it a shot and do what you ask to help me lead a healthier and happier lifestyle. I am not perfect, but I will surely strive for positive change with your assistance.
I apologize for babbling, but I do hope you consider my request for your guidance. Thank you so much for listening.
Sincerely,
D. Dixon
Hi J.,
I am currently a stay at home mom. I have been out of the full time work force for 4 years. My education and work history are in Graphic Design, but I'm not interested in returning to that field of work anymore. I've been trying to figure out what I really want to do with my life and my career.
I feel very priveleged that I've been able to stay at home with my daughter, but I also feel that I've lost some of myself. I am definately at a cross roads in my life but I'm not sure what to do with it. I feel sort of paralized to move forward, sideways or other. I've been struggling with this for the past year, ever since my daughter started preschool. I feel now that she is in school and taken care of, my husband is busy with his new business that I am left to pick up the pieces of my life.
My husband lost his job right after 9/11 and my daughter was 2 weeks old. We've been struggling ever since. He's started his own business a couple of years ago, but as with all new businesses it's slow.
I've been trying to lose weight and can't seem to get motivated. I've been reading books to try and help me figure out the purpose of my life, but could really use someone to help me work through some things and guide me.
I would really like to work with you and have you help me. I am currently reading a book by Wayne Dyer, The Power of Intention and he says "you should open yourself up to receiving the assistance you desire, stay alert and accept any guidance that comes your way." I read this 2 nights ago and today I recieved your email.
I don't know if I fit the profile of what you are looking for, but for my sake I really hope so.
Thanks for your consideration,
K. Sullivan
Hi JoLynn
I thought for a few minutes and told myself I had nothing to lose and all to gain.
I would love the opportunity to get a jump start on making a (huge) life change.
I have been a stay at home mom now for 3 years (son just turned 3). I recently had a second child and she is now almost 3 months old.
Prior to having my first child I discovered Yoga and so enjoyed it! I loved the peace, balance and calm it brought to my life. Unfortunately I can not seem to find time for myself to enjoy practicing yoga everyday. I would eventually (someday) love to become a yoga instructor. Baby steps.
I have issues in stepping out of my comfort zone and in asking for help. I need help in learning to become a more social, trusting person.
Thanks for your time.

I am the perfect candidate for your arrangement.
I am a 38 year old CPA looking to return to my profession after staying at home with my now 15 month old son.
I am a hardworking and achievement oriented in desperate need of your assistance to redirect my efforts. Although I have thought about a life coach often, we do not have the financial resources to dedicate at this time.
Some recent major life accomplishments include: giving birth, losing nealy 100 pounds and a NORMAL BMI, and still breastfeeding my 15 month old son.
Currently, I am tryingto catch-up with some paperwork backlog, including re-aligning our investments and moving.
I am looking specifically to build a healthy support system and professional network, effectively maintain healthy boundaries especially in my personal relationships. Long term, I need a workforce re-entry plan that coordinates with my son attending an educational program, preferably montessori based.
I hope to hear back from you.
Hi, I'm J.'s husband, John, and she emailed me about your posting. I'm a software engineer, and for quite a while I've wanted to start my own business, but it has just been too hard for me to do it on my own. I currently work in Oakbrook/Lombard and I would love an opportunity to talk with someone about how to take my career in a different direction. If you have any questions, you can email me at ____@____.com. Thanks very much.
Hi J.! I would love to volunteer! I am a single mom of a 4 year old girl, and as of this summer, I am "starting over". I read your offer,( and I would like to add that it is so amazing that you are willing to do this free of charge) and I said to myself, this would be so great for me to do...Anyway,here is my story..A little over a year ago, my husband of 7 years left me. Since that time, I have grown and learned so much. I have never been on my own before, even before my husband I was never without a man in my life since before high school. Even after he left I ended up meeting someone, and had him move in with me right away. Which was a very bad decision.(he ended up having a drinking problem, had multiple personalities, couldn't keep a job) SO, now I have finally begun working again full time, and, as of today, I have moved out on my own with my little girl, and I need some serious life coaching. I am beginning my journey into my next stage of my life, and would love some help along the way...Please, consider me for your project, if you need, here is my cell phone number, ###-###-####..I am in Palatine, and work in Chicago..I talk much better than I can type, plus I still need to get internet service set up in my new apartment, so if you have any questions, or would just like to get a hold of me, calling would be the best way..Thank you so much, and even if you don't pick me, I would still love to even pay for your service! Thanks much~J.
Hi J. - My friend, Gwenn is very interested in talking to you about this. She lives on the NW side of Chicago, has two girls (6 & 10), works full time out of her home and has just moved. Her husband is a Chicago fireman and plumber and is out of the home quite a bit, so she's trying to juggle everything. She's also recently taken up working out for the first time in her life and is trying to keep this in the mix of everything. Gwenn has always had a struggle with juggling things b/c she overextends herself and is looking for some structure to her crazy life. You can email her directly at ____@____.com or call her at 773/406-6083. Good luck finishing your certification!

Hello, I would be interested in learning more about the coaching opportunity. I am currently a business owner and mom, who is about to have another baby in December and I will not be returning to work. For me, it is a big transition as I have put a lot of effort into my career and business up to this point, although I am excited about the prospect of this new chapter in my life. I have worked with business coaches in the past and am familiar with the process. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me. Thanks! J. Rasmussen
Dear JoLynn,
Hi there, my name is S.. I'n 43 yrs. old, and, when I saw your request today, I actually felt like it was an integral part of what I am needing in my life right now. Let me explain... I have recently had my husband of 14 yrs., walk out on myself, and our 2 children. I have been supporting the family for the past 4 1/2 yrs. now, w/no help from my 'husband'. He got hit by a delivery van, oh, say, 5 yrs. ago. He apparently got too comfortable staying home with our 2 kids, boy, age 8, girl, age 3. He apparently got very addicted to the narcotic pain-reliever, Vicodin ES, and stronger pills, I've been told. He has moved out of the house, has not even attempted to ask how the kids are doing, nothing. He is staying w/ a person who deals in these drugs. I am telling you this, because, before the accident, (to my knowledge), he would not even take an over-the-counter Tylenol! I just want to get my life, and the kids lives back on track. They are children, and, the oldest is hurt the most, or, is ay least better at saying so. Please! I have no family for any emotional support, I truly believed this was meant for us when I read it today. In case you are wondering, I don't drink, nor smoke, or do any drugs, perhaps, that is why I am so devastated by his decision... And perhaps mine, to divorce this man, that I once considered my best friend...I can not change him, and he doesn't want to, but, J., I can't let him take us down with him! The people that know me say I am a very strong person, but, seriously, this is really putting me to the test. We live in Downers Grove, Il.
I hope you believe me when I say I'm sincere on wanting to make a major life-change...and working hard to make it happen.
Thanks for your time in reading this, I bet you got a lot of responses.
Hope to hear from you,
Sue
Never seen the show starting over...but I'm a professional mom of two boys (2.5yrs & 1 yr). Started a family after many years of mgt consulting work for Big 5 firm. Working full time... doing corporate "internal" work from home office. Would appreciate the opportunity to sort out my personal plan and help you achieve your goal at same time.
